The next morning, everyone met up at the rehearsal hall. Beca was of course the last one there and Chloe was the first to notice. "Hey, You!" The redhead greeted with a smile.
"Hey, Babe." Beca replied and pecked her lips. "Sorry I'm late. I overslept."
"It's fine. Aubrey didn't even notice."
The small brunette nodded when Aubrey clapped her hands. "OK! Sopranos in the front and Altos in the back." Everyone dispersed as told and sat down. "As you can see, Kori is not here. Last night she was Treble-boned. She has been dis-invited from The Bellas."
Beca's eyes went wide as she looked at the blonde captain. "That oath was SERIOUS?!?"
"Dixie Chicks serious. You can fool around with whoever you want to. Just not a Treble." Aubrey said. "Stacie is my mate, Cynthia Rose and Denise are mates, Jessica and Ashley are mates, and you're Chloe's, so I don't have to worry about all of you. But the statement applies to everyone else here. So if someone has anything to confess..." She continued and looked around until she stopped in front of Mary-Elise who wouldn't look her in the eye and was shaking nervously.
Mary-Elise looked up and caved under the pressure of the senior's stare. "It was an accident..."
"Hand in your scarf and go." Aubrey said holding her hand out.
"But..." Mary-Elise cut herself off and sighed untying her scarf from the handle of her purse and handing it to the blonde.
Aubrey snatched it from her and gestured for her to stand and walk out. As the girl did so, she spoke again. "Take your chair."
The freshman grabbed the back of her chair and dragged it until she reached the doorway. Then she covered her face and cried running out of the building. Beca looked incredulous. "Was that really necessary?!?"
"This is WAR, Beca. And it is MY job to make sure that my soldiers are prepped and ready at go time with three kick-ass songs sung and choreographed to perfection. So if you have a problem with the way that I run The Bellas, then you should just..." The captain said, but stopped trying to keep from stress vomiting.
Chloe rubbed her back. "Don't stress, Aubrey." She whispered. "We don't want a repeat of what happened last year."
Lilly raised her hand. "What happened last year?" She asked extremely softly.
Chloe looked at her confused. "What are you saying?"
"What happened last year?" She asked again barely a notch louder. "And do you guys wanna see a dead body?"
"What?" Most asked confused.
Lilly rolled her eyes and telepathically said it to Beca who translated in a normal tone not sure if she should translate the second question. Aubrey then showed them the YouTube video of her incident at the ICCAs. By the end, everyone was laughing. "ENOUGH! It's done. It's in the past. Now here's the list of songs we've ever performed. And if you'll notice, we only ever do songs made famous by women."
"There's nothing from this century on here." Beca said.
"That's because we don't stray from tradition. Now, we will be practicing at least two hours a day seven days a week. And I trust that you'll add your own cardio."
"Yeah, no. Don't put me down for cardio." Fat Amy said raising her hand.
"Amy, it's required. You can do the cardio using your wolf form if needed, but you HAVE to do cardio." Aubrey said. "Now, moving on. THIS is how we'll become... CHAMPIONS." She said flipping over the whiteboard behind her.
