The moon was slowly approaching. It was round, full of its bright light ready to waken the curse within his body.

Cold sweats formed over his skin, coating the gentle, bruising fibers of his body. He shook, he grunted as the memorable sounds of his bones echoed in the room. He had run out of his potion.

There was none. Nor Sirius or James had been able to find the damned witch to help him. She wasn't in town so they heard. Remus had seen his beloved Alena and perhaps scared her to death. He was almost glad that she ran the moment his fangs came out, and his eyes turned a vibrant green.

Remus was in pain, now he was falling weak as his knees were planted firmly on the ground of the cave he had been hiding all his young 17 years. James and Sirius kept watch to make sure phasing for the young Marauder didn't turn to a death sentence and did their best to keep themselves safe as well.

His neck bent all the way back til he could see the light of the moon. Another bone, Crack! he howled. He could hear James and Sirius calling out for him, "Mate, are you alright?!"

Remus could only howl now. His body was naked as his phasing took its slow transition as the moon played mind games with him until he was completely mad. He was out of breath, more bones snapped. He was growing and growing and by now he wasn't the same Remus everyone knew.

He was a cursed boy with a deathly hankering for humans, blood and no barriers could stop him from killing.

He eyed the chains attached to his ankles which were now transforming into the heels and toes of a wolf. Soon enough he'd be on his feet ready to attack. Foam would droop from his teeth, no hair would be left in his body and his fangs would become weapons to kill.

He heard one gentle sound of a rock falling and his eyes looked in its direction, it was James. He sighed and looked up at the sky. He could only speak a few words, "Alena..." he growled, "She hates me,"

James approached him slowly and carefully. Even Remus couldn't control his reflexes at this point, this was always the most sensitive part of phasing, "Nah, mate. Of course not. I thought she probably lost her knickers in there with you. But I think she'll be fine. We saw her with her friends. Some party's going on."

Remus felt a few more bones snap and he felt the fullness of his body only increase. He howled up at the moon making the walls around the two boys shake.

"Alright mate, I'm leaving. Be careful," James turned around and ran out before it was too late.

Remus watched the sky as his body completely developed. It was like the hardest storm to face. He was in pain, he was suffering as his whole human body became one of an animal's. He barked, and howled. He fell down to his paws and yanked at the chains at his ankles.

He howled up at the sky and the rage only grew by the numbers as he scratched and barked. Nothing.

He shivered and howled once again. His feet - now paws- kicked away trying to set himself free. In his head he held memories of his past life, of Alena's face when he snapped at her. The terror in her beautiful brown eyes. He hated himself. He hated her for being so good to him.

Remus kicked again, his body hardening as he dropped to the ground and growled until he could free himself. And when he did? Not even Sirius and James could stop him.

He leaped out from the cave, glaring at the two friends who looked terrified to see him completely free. Remus instead turned and lunged forward in order to get through the dark forestry around him.

He was angry..

He was hungry...

Hungry for what?

Bones..

Blood..

Death.

His mouth was foaming as he thought of the blood he was soon ready to indulge himself in. He ran faster, his limbs moving at an unreal speed. That's what he was. Unreal. He was a monster.

"Alena!" he heard from afar, "You can't cheat! Come on, have you or have you not? You know... You and Remus."

He stopped completely, his eyes widened and he sniffed the air. He could smell her perfume. Her hair. He could smell Alena and that only drove his senses off the wall. He was hungry. He was hungry for her.

Remus could hear James and Sirius' voice from afar too. He wasn't going to let them stop him. No one could. That was the truth of it all. No one could stop him.

He continued leaping over rocks, branches- over everything. He growled as he smelled the fresh scent of fire and wood. Ashes. He was foaming at the mouth at the thought of all the girls there, innocently playing in dangerous places not meant for sweet angels. But more so for monsters like him.

He'd pay, that he knew. But his brain wasn't the brain of a human, it was the racing, dark brain of a werewolf.

"No, I have not- I mean, we kinda got heated a bit, but nothing like y'know, sex," he could hear Alena's chirp. Her giggle, and soon her heartbeat. They were only getting closer to him.

"Remus! Remus, stop!" he shook away any thought of rationality. The werewolf had taken over him completely.

He came to a quick halt, paws leaving scratches against the dirt of the woods. His neck bent backwards and deep from within his chest cavity, came the most bone-chilling howl.

After the howl, there were screams.

"No! No! Nobody scream! You'll scare him!" James caught up to the girls. The monster not too far from them was now huffing and puffing as the girls didn't even bother to grab their belongings, instead ran in every other direction.

"James, it's a monster!" Hardy screamed as she tried to pull Alena away, but the brunette didn't move.

"Alena, don't you dare," Sirius ordered, "He's dangerous - you can't stop him!"

"Remus," Alena whispered as the ferocious creature huffed her way, only to get closer to her smaller frame, "There you are," she smiled.

"Remus is gone, Alena! You fool, leave!" Now it was James yelling.

"Remus, look at me you won't cause me any harm. Reach within you. You can fight th-" her words were cut short by a scream when Remus the werewolf lunged forward with his paws pushing the brunette back.

"STOP!" Sirius yelled, "Alena, get the hell out of here!"

Alena had fallen a few feet away from Remus. Her back ached, and her head felt heavy, "Remus, please! This isn't you - you're stronger than your curse!" Alena begged in tears as the monster approached her, this time without thinking twice about his - its actions.

"Alena leav-"

The whole crowded space of the forest raged in sounds of screams as the monster raised its paw and swung at the young brunette, shoving her down the hill which she was standing on, down to the bushes.

"Damn it!" James hissed, "Get him! Get him Sirius," James ordered as he tried to calm the other girls, as well.

"Everyone don't move. Stay still," he sighed, "I'll be back." James turned completely before jumping down the hill in order to go and help Alena.

By the time his feet hit the ground, leaves covered Alena's body. Her brown eyes were forced shut, and blood made its trail from the side of her head.

"Oh, Remus..." James frowned.

- and because I'm that kind of author, I will end this chapter here.
