Chapter 6

"Hey sas" I looked up from my book to see patsy and Paul with bob the dog "oh hey patsy and Paul what are you doing?" Patsy smiled at me "playing cards with Ryan" "yer he's teaching us poker" Paul said to me I nodded at them "sounds like fun how are your jobs going?" Patsy and Paul both looked down "oh there good where getting them done soon" "okay we'll make sure you get them all done before dinner" they nodded and stood up "by saskia see you later!" I waved at them and shook my head, those to are trouble bray walked into the cafe and looked over at me, I had been avoiding him since he asked if I wanted to meet up with Zoot "sas have you thought about seeing him yet?" I looked over at him and shook my head "no bray I told you that he doesn't want me anymore and the locos will kill me if they knew this baby was zoots" "come on sas he really wants to see you, what if I took you to him this afternoon away from the locos it will just be him" I thought about it for a second, maybe if I could talk to him without his tribe hanging of him he would listen to me "okay but as long as he's by himself no one else around promise me bray" I stuck my little finger out he chuckled at me "I promise sas" he looped his little finger with mine and then walked away.
I was on kitchen clean up before dinner so I quickly did all my jobs before I left with bray so that no one would wonder where I am, after cleaning and washing the dishes I went into my room and grabbed a thick coat the one I had before I came to the mall and looked at myself in the mirror zandra had given me. I don't know why I was so worried about seeing zoot I've known him for so long it shouldn't be that hard! Bray came into my room was I was all ready to go "okay ready?" I nodded my head and let a sigh out "let's go" I grabbed brays hand and we walked over to the sewer entrance I cringed and crinkled my nose at the smell bray stepped in first and turned his flashlight on we stepped quietly threw the rat infested sewer until we go to the ladder leading outside "hold on I'll go up and open the drain and then come down and get you" I nodded at him again and let his hand go, bray climbed up the ladder and opened the the drain before climbing back down and grabbing my hand again I went up first then right sun blinded me for a second before I breathed in the fresh air... well as fresh as it gets with the burning rubber and deserted streets, bray stepped out behind me and pointed to which way we had to go we started walking.
After about half an hour I had sore feet and my back was killing me "how much further bray, my feet hurt" "where nearly there come on" I huffed and put my hand to my lower back when I looked up again we had come to railway lines with abandoned trains "where here" before I could respond "zoot jumped down from one of the train carts, I jumped in fright because I wasn't expecting it "sassy where have you been" worry laced his voice I looked down and then back up "I was scared zoot, ebony would have killed me if she knew I was pregnant with your child" he walked towards me "why didn't you tell me babe" "because you wouldn't have wanted a baby, it was the start of the virus and everything was really crazy I was really scared" zoot stepped towards me and reached his arms out as if asking permission for a hug I hesitated for a second before stepping into his arms and wrapping my small arms around his neck I missed him "I would have looked after you, come back with me and everything will be fine" I stepped back from him "no zoot I can't come back with you" I shook my head "it's to dangerous for a baby" zoom was shocked I never said no to him "what the hell babe that's my baby your carrying you can't keep it away from me" I looked towards bray for help, zoot noticed and looked back at him "your with him aren't you?" His voice raising slightly "no of course not!" "Your always stealing my women bray!" "Zoot we aren't together look at me" he was still glaring at bray waiting for him to say something I put my hands to on either side of his cheeks "martin!" At the sound of his real name his head snapped towards me "we aren't together trust me, your the only one I've ever wanted to be with and the only one I've ever been with, but I can't come back with you I won't keep you from this baby I promise" he looked down at me and smiled before his hands went to my belly and felt our baby kicking.

After seeing zoot I felt so much better about everything like I want alone and everything will work out.... but not everything always does.
