Fucking hell.
There it is again.
I'm pretty sure it's nothing. It's definitely happening by accident.
Is it really by accident? What if she is deliberately doing it?
Trying not to think about it more than I already am, I take a big bite of my burger, training my thoughts to the very boring conversation taking place at our table.
"... I'm telling you. Emma Watson was there. She was right there."
"Come on Rob, doesn't she have anything better to do than to ride in the same train as you for an entirety of 30 minutes?" Matt says in exasperation.
"I don't know, you tell me," says Rob, shaking his head. After a pregnant pause, he starts again. "I've seen Harry Potter too many times to tell whether it really was Emma Watson that day, or not."
"Right, because they have shot her from behind so many times," Matt says sarcastically.
"So who was it then?" Rob cries out, raising his arms in the air, staring hard at Matthew, as though uttering any other celebrity's name as an answer would be like making out with his sister in front of him.
"How am I supposed to know?"exclaims Matt.
"It was Emma!"
"It probably was a dream," I interrupt with an eye roll, and then hear someone chuckle.
Olivia finds it amusing.
"You wish, Colton," scoffs Rob, but doesn't say anything after that, because apparently, the fries are more interesting than the very argument he was eager on winning a few moments ago. And then realization dawns on his face.
"Oh my God, it was a dream, wasn't it?" Matt places his coke on the table with a soft thud and starts laughing so exuberantly that I can't help but join in. But in the excitement of having found yet another reason to poke fun at Rob, my arm brushes against Olivia's again.
She fidgets in her seat, her fingers playing with her food while she does, and after that, she just can't seem to look at me properly.
But I'm glad that she can't.
For the whole hour that we've been in this café, I've been on my toes. All this skin to skin contact with Olivia is making me so confused. We've been working together for quite a few months now, and all I've been getting are mixed signals.
Also, I don't know if it's her thing or she does it only around me, but whenever I'm around, she's constantly playing with her hair. And not just running her hands through her hair, but continuously twirling and curling them with her fingers; gathering them together and bringing them on one side, exposing her sweet smelling neck and shoulder.
But if we happen to cross our paths at the coffee machine, she completely dismisses me with just a smile.
And now we've been bumping elbows in the café.
