The Closing Distance

Kazuto's POV--
Yawn....... I'm so sleepy........ Morning! "Ahhhhhhh!^/////^ Kirigaya kun, good morning~" .... So noisy in the morning..... As I sit at my place, Yuuki is reading a book. I stare at her for awhile before saying Morning. "Oh, Kirigaya kun, good morning! " She says with that sunshine smile of hers. Class starts. I'm starting to get bored. I suddenly remember yesterday. It was really fun. I scribble something on my book. I show it to Yuuki.

Asuna's POV--
Hmm? " Yesterday was really fun right?" ...... I start to write something on my book. " Yes. It really was." " Do you still have the rabbits?" . " Yes. Obviously." Chatting in class without the teacher's notice. A secret chat with our books. It's somehow exciting. Wait,what? Why am I getting sentimental? We continue talking. " Aren't you bored?" " Nope." I continue." Seems like you are." I glance at him. He notices me and looks away, blushing. I giggle. He is really cute. I write this and show it to him. He looks at it and then to me. He's giving me a glare. I almost laugh. His glare just get sharper. I'm surprised that the teacher doesn't notice us. Well,we do sit in the back.

-Lunch time-
Liz, Silica and I eat together at our usual spot in the canteen. Although we usually eat outside but for now, it's still quite cold. "Maybe tomorrow we can eat outside," I say to them. " Sounds nice," Liz exclaims. " Yeah! Especially with the Sakura flowers. It'll be great" Silica also says. " Then it's decided!". I'm really happy." What is this? Planning to eat outside? Take us with you!" Eh? Woah! Ryou kun? Kirigaya kun? " Hey" Kirigaya kun says. I see Liz and Silica frozen. Again. " Hey~ are you two okay?" I wave at them. " Y-Yeah. Of course you can." They harmonize. " Well then, can we also join now?" Kirigaya kun asks. "Sure" They sit down. " Yuuki, did you just call him Ryou kun? " Yep. We're childhood friends." "Heh...... Sounds nice," He says. Then eats his food. Eh? What does he mean? I continue eating. I glance at him. He looks. Then he smiles. I can feel my face burning but I try to act normal.

Narrator's POV--
Ryoutarou, Liz and Silica notice Asuna's reaction and grin. They think that they need a talk with her and that it'll be interesting. Asuna feels a chill.

Asuna's POV--
Oh! Kirigaya kun. Can I ask you something?" Sure, what?" He says. I stay silent for a while. I remember Mom asking me to bring him over. She was really excited. You see..... My mom wants to meet you again and told me to bring you over...... Think you can? It's fine if you can't." Hmmmm. Sure. I'm free" He says. Okay. How about after school? " Okay," Once again I feel my face burning. This time with an extra. My heart is beating wildly. " Hoh~ what's this? Introduction to parents before even dating?" Ryou kun says. " My my, advance aren't you," Liz says with a smirk. Wha-?! I blush. Kirigaya kun too. " Will we see a new couple tomorrow?" Silica says with a smirk. Silica too?! You guys,quit it!!!! I shout. Kirigaya kun just keeps quite.

After school.......
I'm home. " Oh, Asuna! Welcome back. Hello there, nice to see you again. Kirigaya Kazuto kun, right? Mom says. "Yes. Nice to see you again, auntie" Kirigaya kun says. "Oh, don't be so formal. Just call me Ayame" Mom says again. "Alright. Thanks for the hospitality, Ayame san," Kirigaya kun says. "But I must say. You are so good looking. Too perfect for my daughter here," Mom says. I just roll my eyes. It's not like I even like him. I say with a frown.

Kazuto's POV--
Haha......We really are just friends. We only met yesterday....... Her words somehow feels like a sword stabbing my heart. But I have to conceal it. " What a shame........" Ayame san says." Asuna,go and prepare some food for him." She continues." Yes......." Yuuki says. She's really interesting. She was a wild cat when we first met. But she's a sweetheart once you get to know her. She's quite laid back around her friends. She can be the same with her mother. What an interesting girl. I didn't realize that I am smiling a little. Thankfully they didn't notice. Just then," I'm home!" I hear a voice. " Ah,oniichan!" Yuuki says happily while hugging him after she prepares the food. She looks really giddy. " I didn't know that you were supposed to be back," Yuuki says after letting him go. " I want to surprise you. Hello there, my name is Yuuki Asuka. Asuna's big brother........... Could you be her boyfriend?" He introduces himself. Yuuki and I blush at his question. We keep on denying it. Her mother and brother just grin. As expected of family. Nice to meet you. I'm Kirigaya Kazuto. Her classmate. " Figures. There's no way my rowdy little sister here would score such a guy like you. You're miles apart," He says." I NEVER have any intentions to score him. After he saved me from a gang, I hang out with him to thank him. When he sent me home, Mom got attracted to him thus,his presence of this moment," Yuuki explains. I thought we have gotten quite along but..... Does she still hate me?" I see..... Well then, please enjoy your stay." He says. Yes, I will.
