Walking to the vault among the corpses,"Soulmoore Dremus " bellowed the woman in black. The luminous light formed the seal. The dark, faceless, tormented souls rose from the ground to meet their mistress. "Door", she ordered them with no delay. The vindictive souls seemed to nod with their unnatural, almost shapeless heads. The unnatural beings then moved towards the door of the vault, revealed sets of claws and started to slash and crunch the gigantic steel vault into nothing, seemingly eating the door, ignoring the magical barrier put up.

Lyn Sanctum walked into the vault room, her long cloak trailing behind her with the grace of a swan. "Finally, it is within my grasp.....", she said as she secured the artifact she had killed hundreds for, "The Whisperwork Stone is finally mine...". The stone-like artifact glowing almost beautifully in her hands. Suddenly, a surge of arcane energy explodes from the artifact, striking Lyn with a nigh-unstoppable force, flinging her backwards out into the open walkway to the vault. As she brought herself back to her feet, she stumbled back to her knees, her hood slipping off her head, revealing her beautiful snow colored hair and mauve eyes. "Bloody............." she gasped in pain as she looked upon her bleeding flank. A metal spearhead impaling her almost all the way through. "Gah! *cough**cough*..........who..." , she said as she turned around and saw another cloaked person. "Hello...Lyn", the figure said with an overlapping voice, further concealing the persona's identity. "How...*cough*.... do you..know my name", Lyn replied to the mysterious figure standing in front of her.

"Me ?", he said "Oh, Lyn you need not know MY name... I only need know yours..". As he said these words, he raised his wand slowly, holding it as if holding a quill. "Expelliarmus !!!", Lyn cried as she flicked her wand in her foe's direction. The light striking his wand and sending it flying into the air and into her grasp, but as she took hold of it, the wand had disappeared as if it was intangible, imaginary, non-existent, like magic. "Oh Lyn, Lyn, Lyn.....how naive of you", he said as he raised his wand for the second time, unwavering, "Accio spearhead ", he said as the spearhead dislodged itself from Lyn's body tearing it from her flesh and into his grasp. "AAAAAAAHHHHHH", she screamed as she fell to the cold floor, her blood coloring the details of the floor a vibrant red. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ?, she exclaimed. "Well, I can't let you die on me, now can I?", he said in an almost insulting manner. "What....do you mean ?"she replied from the floor. "I didn't put that spear into your stomach, my dear", he explained "I need your help, so lets fix you up shall we ? Vulnera Sanentur ", he said as he swished his wand at the gash on her side. The blood returned to her wound as it closed up and healed itself. " My...help?", Lyn said with confusion with the actions of the figure before her "With what ?", she continued. "Oh, all will be explained in due time", he said "but, lets acquire the Whisperwork first shall we ?".

His large cloak trailing like shadows behind him, he paced towards the stone and held it in his hand. The arcane energy pulsed a second time and released a second wave of energy. Lyn raised her arms in the shape of an 'X' in front of her face in an attempt to shield herself from the wave of energy that had caused her to be impaled. As the situation calmed, she opened her eyes and saw the mystery man standing right where he was from the beginning. "How ? How'd you resist the charm's effects? I was flung away like paper", she asked quizzically. "Hmmm, this charm is quite the nuisance", he said "let's get rid of it shall we?". He flicked his wand in a pattern and the pulsing light seemed to fade, revealing the Whisperwork Stone with its pale glow. "Ahhh... ", he breathed as he inhaled and exhaled as if he had become whole again. "How ? How did you disable the charm ?", Lyn asked again, this time with more command in her voice." I will teach it all to you in due time", he said, foreboding and mysterious. "Why ? Why do YOU need the Whisperwork Stone, if I may ask ?", she asked with some demand. "Ah, a curious one-", he continued "-well, lets find out shall we ?".
