Lacy's POV (Part 1)~
The only thing that went through my pounding head as I got out of the taxi cab was what a dump this place
is. Sure, it was cheap to rent this small hell hole but it seemed like the only pleasant thing about this area was the scenery. I just loved all the pine trees and the mountains I saw in the distance, and they calmed me. All I had to do to fix this place up, so at least I won't feel like I've been abandoned in an alleyway. Leana's small hand entertained my hair as she made a small whimpering sound. "Shh, sunshine. It'll be alright. Don't be scared" I gently whispered to her as I cradled her in my arms. She was so small, so innocent, and yet she's been through so much already. I felt so guilty and pained to have her go through all this, but ever since that shit bag Lance dumped me out on his front porch, I haven't been able to calm myself. I'm broke, alone, and have a small baby girl to support. I didn't really know what to do next, or how to react to all this, but all I knew is I better get a job soon if I didn't want to end up on the streets again, dancing for cheap, sleezy, man whores. I needed to make sure Leana grew up with everything a little girl would dream to have, unlike myself. "It'll be alright, Lea" I said out loud. But to be completely sincere,I didn't quite believe that myself. (End of Part 1)
