I arrive early enough that all the desks were empty. Quickly introducing myself to the teacher, I sit in the back of the class with my hands folded on my notebook. My face making the calmest expression I could manage.

This is bad  I thought as I watched students pour into the room, eyeing each of them making sure I don't share a class with the girl again. By the time every seat is filled, a small sigh of relief escapes my lips.

But what am I supposed to do? My fingers are tempted to pull out my phone and text my dad but the teacher grabs my attention by beginning the class, writing an equation on the board.

Two hours into the school day and I already have problem with this town.

By the time it was lunch, my nerves have finally calmed down and the girl hasn't been seen since first period. The lunch room was already half full by the time I managed to find the room. A small empty table sits in the back of the cafeteria near the exit to the back parking lot. Taking a seat, I pull out a paper bag holding my lunch. Dad forgot that we didn't have any food at the house yet so he through a slice of the pizza in a paper bag with a water bottle. Pizza was from his journey to the center of town at 2 a, when he realized we never had dinner.

The taste of cold sauce and cheese makes me nauseas until I spit it out into a napkin. sighing , I open up the water bottle and take a few sips. My eyes look around the lunch room looking at each table that seated different group of people. The 'popular' people sat together with 3 tables pushed together. Jock's arms around their girlfriend's shoulders as they gossip and laugh every three seconds.

Another table held five students all wearing black and bored expressions, towards the other end of the room. Trouble makers sat in the middle, throwing food and swearing. One student already being dragged away by a teacher towards the office.

But by the windows at a fairly large table sat fifteen to twenty students. All of them are Native American, their brown eyes looking right in my direction. In the middle sat the girl from before. Her eyes watching me closely with a stern expression. A few of them whisper quickly to each other, earning a raised hand to silence them. The girl continues to stare at me for a few more moments before shifting her gaze to her tray of food, the others mimic her and act as if nothing happened.

Are they all werewolves?  I ask myself realizing that life here is now going to be just as hard with an entire pack living in this town. My eyes continue to scan them over observing their every move. The girl's eyes glance up again causing our eyes to meet. Her lips form a smile before looking back down at her tray as if laughing at me. I return my eyes back to my disgustingly cold pizza. Another sigh leaves my lips as I throw out my trash and exit the cafeteria. Chestnut brown eyes following me out the door.

Arriving back at home, I find a silver car in front of the garage. Knowing that it's my brother, I quickly sprint into the house. Isaac was halfway down the stairs with an empty box when I entered the front door.

"How was your first day sis?"

I throw my bag down and walk over to hug him with his head resting on my head.

Responding with a sigh, I inform him of the hellish day I went threw at school.

"Crap. I'm really behind in all my classes, Maine is way far behind them especially in math, like I didn't know what a linear equation was." We untangle our arms and Isaac sits on the second to last step on the stairs motioning me to continue. My body leans up against the wall, with my arms crossed before I continue.

"We aren't the only werewolves here either. I think it's a fairly large pack judging on the amount of students I saw." His expression doesn't change at the given information as if he expected this to happen. He stands and begins to walk into the kitchen. I follow him a few steps behind his shadow into the spacious room.

My father is cooking what I guess is going to be tonight's dinner. Chicken and gravy. He sees us enter and takes out his earbuds that are most likely playing a country station. "Alex your home, didn't hear you come in. Supper is going to be ready in an hour or so. How did your first day go?"

Before I could respond Isaac blurts out, "Theres another pack here, Alex says there's quite a few at the school. They're going to be pissed that we stepped on their territory without introducing ourselves." Dad's eyes widen a bit and sets his hands down on the counter. Looking into the marble as if thinking.

"They're Native American too I might add." He sighs rubbing his temples, I can sense his stress levels rising. "They're going to want to speak with us soon, avoid going outside for tonight, we don't know how they might react." He turns around and continues preparing tonight's dinner.

After dinner and helping dad with the dishes, I throw myself onto my bed and sigh. Excellent, more stress to pile on. Looking over at my clock on my nightstand and read 8:40. Deciding to go to bed, I stand up to shut off my lights and change. As I stand up something catches my eyes from outside my window. Walking over to the window, I peer out into the moonlit forest line. Standing along the edge of trees stands a jet black wolf that my eyes can barely make out. My heart sinks and I don't move a muscle. Did they find out where we live?!

The wolf slowly turns around keeping its eyes on me. The majestic beast eventually disappears into the darkness of the forest. Ok, Im officially done with this place.
