"Um... King? There's been a disturbance in the balance..."
The speaker gulped and glanced into the shadows where he knew a lone figure on a throne was seated. He was one of the kings closest friends, but a disturbance was always a big deal, even if there were heroes to counter it.
"I am aware." The king stepped off the throne and looked wistfully at a stained glass window. It depicted a picture of a great sorcerer defeating a mighty beast.
"And..." The speaker gulped again and looked away.
"Well?" The king said studying another window.
"This time.... Well.... it's past our range of expertise..." The speaker was now shivering in fear.
"Times have been hard..." The king looked into a glass ball at a faraway kingdom, the latest place disaster had struck. It was cheerful now, and all was well. The inside of the glass ball swirled, now depicting a mighty demon. It was black, like night, and had gleaming red eyes.
"What does this demon call herself?" The king asked calmly, pacing swiftly.
"She...golly, I thought it was a he!" He laughed then looked at the kings questioning stare and said "Chearmilla."
The king thought for a moment then responded."What can she do?"
"Shapeshift and summon minions."
"Hmmm..."
The king returned to the glass ball, gazing inside.
"No!" He exclaimed suddenly.
"One of the kingdoms?" The speaker stepped up to the ball.
"The pridelands is being taken." The king motioned to the glass with grief.
Lions were everywhere. The evil ones were easily picked out. Black with red eyes. Just like the demon. The pride lions were fleeing and many were strewn, injured or dead across the rocks.
"Simba... I'm sorry." The king looked on in anguish as the mighty lion was chased away from his homelands.
The pridelands were changing. They were starting to look like they did when Scar was the ruler of the pride. Dark lions were the only ones left standing. The only remaining pride lions had fled. The dark lions let out a roar. Pride rock had fallen.
"There is only one option. To save the kingdoms...." The king looked at the ball with regret, then made a swooshing motion with his hand. The terrible scene stopped.
"King? Are you sure?" The speaker knew what was coming. The king would not let his kingdom fall easily.
The king suddenly stopped before the picture of the hero and the beast. He seemed to think for a moment. The glass cast patterns on his face.
"Malificent. Alvin. Jafar. Pitch. Ursala." The king looked at the picture again.
"Chernabog." He said pointing at the beast and the speaker cowered at the name. "They will come to be our greatest
allies... if we can convince them to help..."
"Shall I send a message sir?" The speaker was studying the picture too.
The king nodded and made a dismissive motion with his hand.
As the speaker exited the throneroom he pondered on what made the king so spectacular.
Maybe it was the fact that he was a sorcerer and musketeer.
Or maybe it was the fact that he was so powerful and thoughtful.
Or, it could be the fact that the king wasn't a tall, burly man who had the strength of 100 men.
Or maybe it was because the king wasn't a man at all, but a mouse.

Sooooo???? :)
How did ha like the Prolouge?
It you haven't guessed yet, the "king" is Mickey Mouse himself and the messenger is Goofy.
Yeah, I really liked the Kingdom Heart's idea of having Disney's mascot as a king so I kept it.
What's to come:
I will add Sora/Riku/Kairi's perspective so they can meet some villains that I would otherwise not be able to add like Ursula because, seriously? The older Disney princesses have like no fighting spirit whatsoever.
And, yes, Kingdom Hearts is like, part Disney because otherwise they wouldn't be able to add all those characters.
Ok, enough kingdom hearts.
I might add in Rapunzel from tangled,
Merida from Brave
and
Anna and Elsa from frozen.
Also, I kind of have to add Simba and Nala.....
Oh! And How to train your dragon because I'm doing DreamWorks too.
Hmmmm....
Who else...
Ummm...
oooh!
Alice in wonderland and Cheshire cat
and
Hercules!!!!!
So...
That's just some of the stuff you should be expecting..
If you have anymore ideas tell me
