"It's finally today" Alex murmured as he brushed his hands down the green robe with the six pointer star. "The heroine will finally come". After two years and passing the entrance exam to the Academy with Diane, Alex had done everything in his power to change to course of the events. First had been by constantly hammering moral standards inside Diane's pretty head; next had been by slowly building outside friendships with other children and leaving a good impression. But really, there wasn't much a ten year old boy could do. Alex had thought about failing the entrance exam at one point, but then when he imagined his mother's sad face he couldn't do it. If he remembered correctly, the heroine, Rosa, would be introduced into their class as a new student that had arrived late due to circumstances and hence couldn't attend the ball. Honestly though since everyone had only started recently, it wasn't something that special.
There was a knock on Alex's dorm door, snapping him out of his daze as he quickly finished getting ready. Opening the door he was met with Diane's unimpressed stare. Dressed in a green dress, the red of her hair looked like vibrant flames as hazel eyes glared at him. Diane was a gorgeous girl with a fiery temper that matched well with her curls.
"You do know this is the males dorms? You can't be here" Alex whispered as he tugged on her hand and hurried down the corridor. If she was caught by the supervisor then they'd both be punished.
"Well someone was taking too long" she snapped in annoyance. Taking a glance back at her, Alex sent her a scowl.
"Don't scowl at me. Look, you wasted my time. Now I won't even have time to secretly admire my prince before class"
"You can admire him in class" Alex pointed out as they slowed down to a more leisurely pace once they were finally out of the building.
"It's the extra seconds that counts" she mumbled. "I can see it you know" she suddenly said while pointing at his neck. Alex frowned and quickly arranged his hair that had been blown around when he was leaving. Taking out the black choker he put it on and covered the mark. After that night two years ago at the ball, the hickey that was meant to disappear had turned into a mysterious small tattoo of a white crescent moon. His parents had been absolutely shocked and even the magical doctors had no idea what it was. Of course since it wasn't dangerous and didn't affect his normal day to day life, Alex had a choker made in order to cover it up.
"Why do you cover it up?" Diane asked. "It's really pretty"
"People stare. At least with this it's not that bad since it's somewhat in style."
Stopping their conversation they both made their ways into the classroom. The classroom was built so that the wooden desks lined the walls and the teacher taught in the centre of the room. Going to their seats, Alex took out his notebook and pen; beginning to draw in the corners since Diane sat separated from him on the other side of the room.
"Okay class quieten down" professor Atwood said as he walked in not moments later. He had kind eyes and appeared similar to friendly grandfather. "We have a new student joining us today because of circumstances that prevented her from joining us previously". From the corner of his eyes, Alex watched the reactions of both Felix and Diane. "Please welcome Rosa Light"
A girl with brown hair and big brown eyes timidly stepped inside. Cute was what flashed past Alex's mind. Small and cute.
"Please take a seat next to Felix" professor Atwood said and Rosa shyly nodded her head as she nervously walked over to the blonde boy who looked anything but interested. When Alex turned to look at Diane, he was pleasantly surprised when he saw her regard the girl before turning away. From the game scenario this would be when Diane would glare at Rosa furiously, looking as if she was promising death. Right now though, she looked like she wasn't even overly bothered, just somewhat reluctant.
