"Watch this," Theo told Leo. Leo watched intently as he picked up the torch and pressed the green button. Nothing happened. "Ha! See, you don't have proof. There is no portal. There is no dragon. It was a story!" Leo jumped up and started to walk back to the village. "Wait!" Theo called after him. Leo looked over his shoulder to see Theo push the green button again. The same silvery snake slithered out of the torch, grew bigger, and turned into the portal. Leo fell over in disbelief. Theo shot him a Look plainly saying 'I told you so.' Leo stood up shakily, his eyes darting between Theo and the portal. Grabbing Leo's arm, Theo dragged him into the portal, while Leo shouted in scared protests. The same tingling feeling as before came over them both as they went through. Out they came on a rocky cliff. Theo stood up, brushed himself off and stared at Leo expectantly. "Okwema," Leo breathed, which meant 'oh my goodness' in the village language. Theo walked over to his mate and pulled him up off the dusty, orange floor. "You believe me now?" Leo, wide eyed and breathing rapidly, nodded slowly. "Let's go," Theo said. The two boys clambered down the side of the mountain; it was kind of like rock climbing in reverse. They reached the bottom, well, Theo jumped off a small ledge after Leo had clumsily tripped, they decided to explore. Theo led Leo to the same place that he had seen the girl and boy. Again, it was very hot, and the boys were sweating. "Look here, let's sit under the tree." Theo pointed to a lone tree. Leo pointed to a long, winding river in the other direction, and said "I need water." "Me too," Theo agreed. So they set off towards the river, which looked surprisingly clean. Leo bent down and slurped up the water. Theo sat down and tried to cup the water with his hands. After many frustrating tries, he finally managed to trap a decent amount of water in his hands. Sweating, he gulped it down. The water was cool; Theo felt refreshed. "Ok, let's sit under the tree now," Leo said. "I still can't believe this is real."

A small, three-headed shadow appeared next to them. Leo looked up and shrieked. Theo gasped. A green, three-headed dragon scuttled over to them. "Oh, that gave me a huge shock," Theo said. "Yeah, I know," Leo replied. Six eyes stared at them, analysing them. Then the head on the right turned and spat lime green saliva on the dirt. It sizzled and the dirt disappeared, leaving a hole. The hole then burst into flames. The two boys looked at each other, not sure what to do. The dragon lifted all three heads to the sky, closed its three pairs of eyes and wailed. Out of nowhere, three other little dragons appeared, spitting on the floor. Not waiting to see if there were more, Theo and Leo took off, with the dragons close behind. Scrambling down the cliff and stumbling over small rocks, the pair ran, never looking back at the dozens of small dragons chasing them. They came to a fork, and, without thinking, Theo took the left one. Squawks and the sound of wings flapping chased Theo down the tunnel. Theo was panting now, he came to another fork and too the right tunnel, where he met Leo, cowering against the wall while six mini dragons commenced on him. He was cornered. Theo didn't know what to do, so did the first thing that came to mind, which happened to be dangerous and really very stupid.

He dived forward on to oneof the dragons and wrestled it to the floor. It screeched and then flopped onthe floor, dead. Theo got up and dusted himself off. Then, looking at what he'ddone, he gasped. He was a murderer. 302 eyes stared at him. Then 300 of themclosed, 150 heads were lifted to the sky and 150 mouths opened, releasing wailsof all sorts. The dragons flapped their little green wings, and, still wailing, chased Theo and Leo out of the tunnel and into the daylight. The pair turned toface the mini dragons when a huge, three headed shadow towered over them. Thewailing stopped. Theo trembled as he turned around and faced what seemed to bethe mini dragons' mother. Huge and dark green, the mother was exactly like herchildren, but bigger and scarier. "Through the portal!" Theo shouted. Leopanicked and grabbed the torch and smashed the green button with such force. The portal appeared quickly this time, and as the mother dragon advanced onthem, Leo jumped through the po
