Chapter One

"Vi, you sound crazy." My sisters voice came through the phone, badly I might add, the service here was horrible; you know with being in the middle of the woods and such.

"I know Eryn, I was excited about this but after what that driver told me I can't just ignore the fact that people have died in this house, probably every inch of this house is tainted with blood." I shuddered at the thought.
I was in the biggest room of the house, at the second floor, after turning on the light and seeing nothing paranormal about the cabin I shook myself from the ridiculous thoughts and explored the cabin, just like I guessed it was huge, everything was covered probably to keep the dust from them.

Everything was from wood, literally, and after looking around I found it to be quite lovely. It was a beautiful sight.

I chose the where I would sleep and started unpacking, deciding to give my sister a call in the process.

"He was probably trying to spook you out since you were alone, just remember to lock the doors at night and you'll be fine." She said nonchalantly making me annoyed that she probably didn't believe me.

"Yeah cause the locks are ghost proof." I mumbled sarcastically.

"Are you listening to yourself? Ghosts! Jesus I never took you as the superstitious type Vi." I could imagine her perfectly, probably shaking her head while sitting on her bed and playing with the hem of her shirt. Damn, I missed her already.

"You're right. This place is kinda spooky that's all, it got to me." I said sighing and sitting down on the bed.

"Vi, be happy, you have three months to yourself in a place you've always dreamt of being in. Wasn't this something you've always wanted to do?" She said trying to cheer up.

"Yeah, it is." I said nodding to myself.

"Well then what are you waiting for? Enjoy it. Read your books; listen to your loser songs, take a hike in the woods, dance in the grass, maybe even meet a crazy ass guy like yourself who likes to spend time alone in the woods." She teased me.

"Maybe I will." I chuckled.

"Well, I gotta go eat dinner, you must be exhausted. Go sleep." She ordered.

"When did the little sister start ordering the older one?" I asked sarcastically.

"Since she's clearly the smarter and more mature one." I rolled my eyes again.

"Bye Eryn, say hi to dad for me."

"Bye Violet. Be careful." She said her voice suddenly soft.

I hung up the phone, dropping it on the mattress and opening the empty drawers to put my now neatly folded clothes in them.

I had even packed a bathing suit just in case, but with this kind of weather I doubt I'd be using it.

After finally sliding the empty suitcase and bag under the bed I grabbed my charger and plugged it in to my phone, making sure it was charging my phone before going in to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

I had brought a large white shirt to sleep in, which we had bought for my dad at first but he never got to wear it since I couldn't sleep in anything other than the absurdly large shirt.

I undressed putting on the shirt and brushing my teeth before walking back into the room, I turned the small lamp on the drawer on and turned the large lamps hanging from the ceiling off, I closed the door out of habit and got under the covers, liking the comfort.
