Chapter 31

Days Pov

Smiling at my new apartment I began tidying things up around the place. Dominic walked into the kitchen and sighed. "Day are you sure its okay for me to stay here?" Turning around I smiled. "Yes i'm sure. I don't mind. Just help with the bills you know." He nodded his head. 

"Where is all your things located?" I asked. "My brothers house. He was gonna let me live there for a while." "Shall we go get them?" He nodded his head and grabbed his keys. We headed downstairs, our neighbor walked out. He eyed me suspiciously. "I'm your new neighbor. Nice to meet you." 

Holding out my hand for him to shake it. He smiled and pulled me in for a hug, I grunted. "I finally have a girl neighbor. You are pretty damn cute. I'm Joshua." "Day, its a pleasure to meet you. I must be going." 

Dominic waited for me. "Josh she is off limits" He yelled to him. Looking at me he asked "Don't tell me you are his girlfriend." I hissed at that "No we just live together." "Lukas claimed her as his already." I growled "I'm no ones, I belong to myself." I grabbed his hand and yanked him down the stairs. 

Wearing a tank top and camo shorts, I sighed. We reached his car and he started it up. Driving off we head further into the city. Gawking at the beautiful sights. We finally arrived. Stepping out of the car we walked up to the gates. Ringing the buzzer. Stating that it was him we entered the gates and headed towards the front door. 

Reaching the door, it was opened. Standing in this big beautiful living room. "Well Well Well, brother nice to see you but I didn't know she was coming." I turned around at the voice. NICK! Approaching us he smirked. "Hello gorgeous." Flicking him off I marched out the house. Sitting down on the steps I sighed. Sitting down beside me Nick patted my back. I grunted. "What do you want? I want to be alone." removing his hands off me. He frowned. 

"Look Day I know you and my brother are sharing an apartment. I am very grateful for that. However you need to get use to seeing me. I want no funny business between you two." Getting angry. "For one I don't like your brother in that way. I literally just met an a few hours ago. I don't want any relationships." "We don't have to be close cause i'm gonna see you a lot." 

"I don't plan on getting friendly with you or him. I came here to escape from other bastards not join new ones!" Getting up I walked to my car. Opening the door and slamming it shut I leaned my head against the dashboard. 

Nicks Pov:

Smiling as she walked away I chuckled. She left to escape from others huh. Getting up I walked to her car. Knocking on the window she grunted out loud. Rolling down the window she barked. "What is it?!" "I want you to work for me." Frowning she flicked me  off and tried rolling up the window. "Can you please think about it? "

Sighing she agreed. Smiling I walked back up to the house and waltzed inside. Dominic sat on the sofa. "Everything alright?" He looked at me. "How do you know Day?" "I met her on the plane yesterday. She caught my attention." 

"I'm not her type though since she got angry with me and seems to resent me quite much." He frowned. "Nick you had to do something to anger her." I shook my head no. "Well you should give up because Lukas wants her and doesn't like anyone else to try to win her over." I shrugged my shoulders and walked past him. Lukas wont win her over. She is different. 

Days Pov:

Staring into space I thought about this new life im beginning. I should take up this new job. Dominic came to the car and shuffled around in the trunk. Glad that I met him I got out and helped him with his things. 

Getting back in the car we headed off back to my place. Heading inside we talked and laughed along the way. Unlocking the door he took his stuff to his room. I walked into the kitchen. Freezing in my spot. "What are you doing here?" Lukas approached me. "I came to check on you."

Screaming out loud I started throwing things at him. "Leave I don't want to see you! You are garbage. Trash!" Dominic came running into the room. He grabbed my waist and rubbed my back, trying to calm me down. I turned around to see him still sitting there. "Why cant you just go? Am I not paying your rent? Am I not taking care of the apartment? I will not tolerate seeing your face! Either you leave or I will report you for stalking."

A crease appeared on his forehead as a frown slid onto his face. Getting up he gripped my arm. I punched him in his face. "Don't touch me!" Dominic was on the phone. Gripping me again I winced in pain. "What is wrong with you?! Cant you take a hint!"

"Let me go!" His grip tightened. Tears welled up in my eyes. "Let go!" Screaming my knees felt weak. I was snatched away from him. I turned to see Nick in full rage, Lukas smirked. Dominic pulled me into the back of the house. Sitting me on his bed. He gently grabbed my arm and looked at the now swollen purple bruise. 

He sighed and went into the bathroom and grabbed some cream. Wrapping myself up in a bandage I winced in pain. "Its alright Day." Giving him a smile I looked at the bandage on my arm. "The police are on their way." "You called the police!?" He looked at me. "Why?" I flopped down on the bed. "He was hurting you." 

"I'm okay its just a bruise." He frowned. Its not just a bruise Day. "He could've cut off your circulation. You could have been badly injured." I sighed. "Thanks for worrying about me." Hearing a knock at the front door he got up. Nick came back there and sat with me. 

Hearing Dominic talk with the police I sighed. "Nick why are you here?" "I came here because no guy should put his hands on a woman. Especially not you." "I care about you okay. Just be more careful." Looking at my arm he began stroking it. "I wish I could've gotten here sooner." I looked at him. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." 

He sighed and got up from the bed, mumbling to himself. He closed the door behind him. I closed my eyes and thought about this. Falling asleep on the bed everything went black.
