Burning.

A seering pain slithered down my arm. I watched as the dark burgandy blood driped down from my wrist. It stung but it also felt wonderful. I dropped the shining piece of sharp metal down onto the counter. I watched the blood fall for a few more seconds before turning on the water to wash it out. I stuck it under and waited for the blood to seize. The burning left and all that was left was a little soreness.

I turned off the cold water and walked away, out of the small bathroom. I entered my room and saw a message on my black pillow. I started walking faster and picked it up with curious eyes. It read,

"Out 4 a drink with bf. Back b4 midnite. Luv, mum."

I was wondering why it was so quiet here. Usually a loud t.v. or stereo is pounding throughout the house. I'm glad she's gone. When she's here, I'm hit and abused. I hate her.

I tore the small note and threw it on the ground (A/N AND I THREW IT ON THE GROOOUUUNNNND! XD). I kicked the scraps under my bed and collapsed onto the comfy comforter. The black background with red polka-dots was a very cute pattern. I absolutely love my bed. I was about to fall asleep when I realized that I was still in my school clothes. I got up too fast and became dizzy. I walked over, stripped out of my skinny jeans and tee, and put on an oversized shirt before collapsing back into my bed and letting sleep consume me.

Even when I'm walking on a wire. Even when I set myself on fire. Why do I always feel invisible, invisible?

I woke up to Skylar Grey's Invisible (A/N LOOK. UP. THAT. SONG. or else I will stalk u and plan your slow and painful death....) and was in a very good mood for once. I realized that I had forgotten to place a bandage on my cut from last night and had bled on my pillows. I got upset and rushed up to the bathroom to get a zebra-print patterned Bandaid. I placed it perfectly on my cut that was around a bunch of other scars and cuts.

I took off my large sleeping shirt and walked over to my closet. I found a pair of stone washed black skinny jeans and a short sleeved shirt with Escape The Fate on it. I quickly slipped those on and went over to my dresser. I opened my drawer and found my favorite pair of black knitted arm warmers. I also grabbed a pair of socks and threw those over towards my shoes. I picked up my black eyeliner and briskly put on a thick line on both eyes, making sure I left a small wing in the corners. Picking of my brush, I plugged in my straightening iron and brushed through my knotted blue and black hair. Once the straightener was hot enough, I flat ironed my hair completely and brushed through it once more. I ran over to my shoes and socks, forgetting to unplug my straightener. I put on my mismatched socks and slipped on my old, worn-in Chuck Taylors before I smelled something burning. I saw smoke coming from my dresser and looked over. My flat iron was burning my dresser!

"Fuck!" I exclaimed as I rushed over. I quickly unplugged it and stood back, making sure that it wouldn't burst into flames. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. My heart was pounding loudly and I could hear it clearly in my head.

"God...." I breathed. "That was crazy..." I said whilst shaking my head and walking away. I ran out of the room and down the stairs. My mom was passed out on the couch with an empty vodka bottle in her hand. I hoped she would choke on her own vomit. I glared at her as I walked over to the kitchen to grab an apple. It was green and shiny, looking like a fresh apple. I bit stright into it before spitting it back out, dropping the apple, and watching it splatter on the ground. The apple was rotted from the inside out. The inside was a disgusting brown color and it was extremely mushy. "Ew..." I muttered before grabbing my black and green messenger bag and walking to the front door. Opening it, I slammed it behind me, leaving it unlocked.

I started walking slowly considering the time I had left the house. I was pretty early, considering that I had dodged my usual morning beating. There was a slight mist in the air because we had just had a short rainshower last night. I walked through the mist and heard a door slam behind me. Thinking it was just someone off to work, I didn't look behind me. Then, I heard footsteps behind me. I stopped walking and before long, somebody walked right into me. I got shoved forward and then I turned around. There stood before me the most gorgeous boy in the universe. He had slightly long dark blonde hair and I could clearly see his light hazel eyes through the mist. He had one snakebite and a clear complexion. He stared at me for a second before barking,

"Watch wear you're walking, freak."

My heart crumbled and I could feel the shine leave my eyes.

"Sorry..." I whispered quietly. He walked away while glowering at me. I thought I had felt a connection, but apparently I was wrong.

I continued walking the short distance that was left and arrived at school shortly after. I entered with a large crowd of people dressed in A and F, not Hot Topic. Lots of Express, and no Pac Sun. I felt like a frowny face in the middle of one thousand happy faces. I finally reached my locker and did the combination. 16, 32, 16, 42. The shining hot pink lock fell into my hands and I opened my locker. I reached for my math book along with my Honors English textbook. Those were my first 2 periods. I slammed my locker and locked it back up before leaving. Across the way, I spotted mystery dude once more.
