Chapter 1

A roar of wind blew across the forest. The trees whistled in the mount of flowing grass and howling berry bushes. The sun peeked through the leaves as a figure steps out of the darkness. Only a big smirk could be seen from the shadows of the forest.

The smile was filled with canine-like teeth with a hue of dirty yellow. The figure growls in fear, the grass dies as the tall, lean figure walks forward to release an unbearable scent. The figure leans a large paw on a single tree as the other trees curl up in lifelessness.

The figure releases the paw and walks closer, and closer. The figure's shape still couldn't be made out. The creature mumbles, a tear could be seen falling from what could have been where the creature's eyes were placed. More tears flow from his eyes and reveal the peremiter of his face. The smile is now a scowl with puckered lips.

The figure disappears, leaving a puddle of tears which then are quickly soaked up by the dry, scratchy soil. The ruffled trees stay still as a plane roars from above. The tree that was touched by the figure was surrounded by still, lifeless, crinkled trees.

An orange butterfly, flies past the field of dead plants and lowers near the only live tree. It's wings frequency lowers as it's toes touch a stub connected to the tree.

A scream is heard from a distance but, the screech gets closer by the millisecond. A young woman, with blonde hair whipping her face, runs on the path as a different creature pulls her legs. Her head crashes on the hard dirt and she cries in pain. As the creature pulled her into his reach she grabbed the dirt helplessly and her nose poured blood from the blow of the path.

The figure drags her into the darkness of a cave. Several screams are unleashed but, the screams paused as a crack echoed from the cave out into the dark forest. One more noise was heard from the cave...But it wasn't the woman's..
