Chapter two

Hi. It's me again. This is the story of my powers.

From the start I knew I was different, but not in a good way. Most people saw me as a bad omen or something like that. Bad stuff just happened around me. I am 16 years old. Have changed at least 20 schools and 10 city's. We finally found a place. And we are living in Satensville. It is called like that because of us.

-Kat!! Wake up it's your first day! You can't be late!
-Yes I can! I say turning around in my bed and snoozing off.
-Katherina Summer!!! Young lady you are so late! You missed the bus!! School starts in 20 minutes!
-OK ok !! Geez mom I'm up! I say getting up and changing quickly into the first thing I get my hands on.

When I get downstairs my mom was already half the way out of the door.
-What about breakfast?
-You are eating in the car get in! What could I do. I already was causing a lot of trouble missing the bus and all so I got in the car and my mom speed off.

-Kat, please be careful what you do today. I really like it hear and I hope you do to.

I was silent. I hated moving more than mom. I actually had a friend back in Chicago. Well she did mysteriously disappeared and it was my fault but I didn't know that.

-Kat, I know you still can't get over Mat (that was her name) but I'm sure you will make new friends.
-Mom this is literally a town of Satan of course I'll fit in. I bet they're all just killers just like me.
-Katherine don't you dare speak like that about this town. And Mal's death isn't your fault. We're here smile. Come on.
I make a forced smile but she buys it so I just go with it.
-Bye mom. I say.
-Love you.
-Love you to mom.

Finally I'm here. It looks ok. I'm kind of disoriented until he comes up to me.
-Hi I'm Alex. You look lost. Can I help.
I am taken by surprise so I don't say enything I just stare at him. I feel this strange connection between us.
-If I'm bothering you I can leave.
-No. It's just that most people don't talk to me. That think I'm some kind of evil omen or something. That's weird.
-No it's OK. Most people around here are much like you. So what class are you?
-I'm in 10 C.
-Really me to. That is so kool.
-Do you always say cool with a k?
-Yes. It's kind of my thing.
-I will probably steal it. Is there a problem?
-No of course not. Oh our class is starting. Don't want to be late to that.
-OK let's go.

As we walk down the corridor I look at him. He is so cute and was nice to me. We arrive at this class and as I enter a lot of people gasp.
I whisper to Alex.
-There's my bad omen for you.
-Don't worry about them come sit down next to me.

The class starts and a teacher walks in. We get to know her. She is cool and she passes out our list of notebooks, textbooks and what not, I notice Alex talking to someone. They look at me and nod. No reason to be stressed. But I feel very nervous like something was multiplying the emotion.

Class is over. We have a break the rest of the day so Alex tells me he is going to introduce me to his friends. I'm like OK so we go.

At the cafeteria I see a table with some strange aura around them. The turn towards me like they can sense me. I ignore it and keep walking. At the last table I see some guys waving at us. Well at Alex.
-Come follow me. I'll show you all my friends.
This is Theo (waves) want to play basketball he is your man. Monika, loves her highlights (she grins sarcasticlly at alex, but smiles at me). Robert collector. And last but not least....
-Baby!
Someone from the table got up and kissed Alex. I felt heartbroken. As if everything that I knew about him was I lie. Like it was all a joke. He wasn't having fun so he wanted to toy with my emotions. But I calm down and ask him.
-This is your girlfriend...
-Angel. Angel Black. She answers me.
-Nice to meet you. So I am Katherine...
-Kat Alex interrupts me. Call her Kat.
-OK Kat. I am new just moved here last week.
-Well welcome to Satan's town. Monica says. Sit down and eat something. You both should.

So we drink some coffee and eat some snacks. But it gets late and school ours are almost over. A limo already came and took Angel away. Of course not before kissing Alex as if it was her private room.
Robert and Monica live close together but far away from school so they both leave soon after Angel.
That leaves Theo, Alex and me. Theo gets up.
-It was nice meeting you Kat. See you later bro.
-Were are you going?
-Well me and my girlfriend are going out tonight.
-Ok see you tommorow.

Now all that is left is me and Alex.
-Were do you live i'm taking you home.
-No it's ok.
-Yes for me to take you home.
-Fine.

So we leave and on the way home we talk about Angel.
-So Angel is your girlfriend.
-Yes
-And you like her
-Well it is more complicated then that.
-Well we have time.
-We are not together for real. I was with her sister which died suddenly last year.
-I am sorry.
-She just is afraid that someone is going to take her place. But she needs to learn how to move on.
-Actually I think that is a noble thing for her to do. When my father died my mother told me that she would never date enyone so it wouldn't hurt me but I told her to try and find love again.
-That is nice. We are here. Today was awsome. Right?
-I have to tell you something. I turned to him and started kissing him. I didn't know what i was doing. But it just felt natural. And he kissed me back. After a while i pulled away and got up.
-See you tommorow. I said smiling.
