Five Years Ago (Current Year- 2015)

Robin's P.O.V.

"Robin?" Aqualad questioned though the telepathic link that had just been set up.
"Yeah?"
"Blue Jay is out of the telepathic range. Can you find her so we can set it up?"
"Sure." I dashed off, grappling to a rooftop and beginning to head East towards the Bank- her favorite building to watch from.

"Blue?" I whispered, looking around the dark area. I waited for a reply, but it never came. I continued to walk around the roof- from edge to edge. Just when I was satisfied that she wasn't here I stepped on something. I moved my foot to get a better look at it- it was a piece of paper with a silver chain on top. I bent down to pick it up, my eyebrows furrowed and my heart fell when I realized it was the robin necklace and Dolly's handwriting.

      I'm leaving

I turned it over, but that was the only writing on the note. Upon further examination of her necklace I noticed the clasp was broken. My breathing stopped and I fell to my knees- I knew this wasn't a joke- she would never, not like this, especially on a mission.
"No!" I yelled angrily, beating my fist against the ground, "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!"
"Robin!" Aqualad called objectively as he came next to me, "This is supposed to be covert. You of all people should -"

"You don't understand." I hissed, shoving the paper and necklace at him, "We have to find Batman. She wouldn't just run away, I think she's been kidnapped." Aqualad's glare softened.
"Perhaps she has left. The girl has a lot of demons. Maybe she was just confronted by one and needed to leave immediately." He reasoned reading the paper.

I snorted and shook my head.
"She doesn't have any demons she can't face with me. I know her past in the circus, her real parents, what she saw when she came home from her first day of sixth grade, her torture. She's my best friend and girlfriend, there's no demons I couldn't help her fight." I heard him sigh.
"Alright. Then you will go to The Batman." He handed me back the note and necklace and I took off.

     ~Time Skip~

"Batman!?" I huffed as I ran into the Batcave. He looked alarmed, turning his body from the computer to face me.
"What is it Robin? I'm busy working on a case for-" I held up the necklace and he froze. I handed him the note, his face falling when he read it.
"She wouldn't just leave. Right?" I pushed.
"Of course not. Something's not right." He growled. I let out a frustrated groan and punched the wall. He typed a bit more on his computer.

"I can't believe she took that necklace off." Batman muttered after a few moments, "I never thought she would- there's a tracker in it."
"You put a tracker in it!?"
"Yeah. And in the chip in her neck. But something's must've happened to it. I'm trying to ping it but it's coming back from seven different places just in Gotham. 1,593 in America." He shook his head and sighed. I began pacing nervously around the Batcave. Touching random things that reminded me of her: the tube that held her old suit which was now too small for her, her extra bird-a-rangs, the pink swivel she would always sit in when researching.

     •••1 Year Later•••

It's been a year... I don't know what to do. Bruce tracked the chip in about three days to Starling City (we assumed she ran to Artemis or Roy). But instead we found the chip on the ground next to a zeta-beam with another note.

        Don't Follow Me

     •••6 Months After That •••

I still felt awful about Dolly's disappearance, but Zatanna was helping me through it- we even started dating. In fact I was on my way to one of our dates when I discovered them. They were standing right outside the front door of the Manor.

.The police. There were four of them, the black haired woman at the front held a black duffel bag.
"Mr. Grayson, is Mr. Wayne home? We have something we want to show the both of you." She spoke purposefully and seriously, but i could tell she was hiding sadness. I nodded and called for Bruce. I then moved to the side to let them in. When the lady at the front began walking the duffel bag swung a bit- revealing the curvy pink font stitched into the side of the bag.

     Dolores Olivia Johnson-Wayne

I felt my heart fall into my chest. What was in the bag? Was it a bag of her old clothes? Are they getting closer to discovering where she is? The police officer set the bag on the floor just as Bruce came down the steps, his welcoming smile fading once he saw what was stitched into the bag.

"We found this outside of the police station doors this morning." One of the other cops motioned for the bag as a red haired woman unzipped it. I fell to my knees as the contents were revealed: lockes of blonde hair (including the one that held the blue streak), her Blue Jay uniform shredded to pieces, and a skull without any teeth which has blood splattered all over it.

"We terribly sorry for your loss, and we are sorry you had to see her like this, but we knew you'd want closure." The forth officer explained.
"A-are you sure this is her?" I questioned with a trembling voice.

"Well, there's no teeth so we can't match the dental records, but the hair and blood is hers. We also ran some tests on the suit, they have her DNA, as well. We can also assume she was on her way home from a costume party when she was kidnapped. But this isn't a kidnappings case anymore- it's a murder."
