Alternative universe in which SeokJin is a slowly rising actor and NamJoon is his boyfriend who forced him to follow his dream after he told SeokJin about his heart surgery. Based off a rumor that NamJoon had surgery predebut.
As SeokJin pushed him gently against the wall of their shared room, and gently began taking the younger's jacket off, kissing his shoulder, and murmuring sweet words in his ears, NamJoon wanted to do nothing more than to enjoy the sweet touch of his boyfriend's lips against his skin, his boyfriend's hot breath rubbing against his ear whenever he whispered to him, and his feather like touches from the tip of his soft fingers leading ghost trails from his shoulders down to his wrist where SeokJin grabbed, and gently placed his fingers on his pulse point. NamJoon knew what SeokJin wanted, hell, he wanted it almost as bad as the elder did, but he was scared.
Of course SeokJin knew about all his flaws, and how they made him feel insecure. He made sure to remind NamJoon of how much he loved him, and how perfect he was to him. Never once did he try to force NamJoon to do anything he wasn't comfortable with. However, even with all the knowledge of how much his boyfriend loved him, NamJoon couldn't help, but panic when he felt SeokJin tuck his hands under his shirt to hold his waist.
The younger's sudden tenseness didn't go unnoticed by the elder. He unlatched himself from NamJoon's lips, and placed a kiss on his ear before whispering, "it's okay, Joonie, I promise I'll take care of you. You know you can trust me."
His comforting words did nothing to appease him, but NamJoon still nodded. He didn't want to upset SeokJin by making him wait longer than he already had. He knew the amount of self-control his boyfriend must have had for the past three years was coming an end. After all, this wasn't the first, or second time SeokJin had tried to get them to be intimate.
To be honest, he wanted SeokJin as much as the older boy wanted him, and so he tried to push his negative thoughts to the pit of his mind where they would hopefully stay, and tried to get physical with Jin.
He succeeded at first. When he forced SeokJin's lips against his own, he had managed to gain control of the situation. While SeokJin was busy running his hand through his brown locks, NamJoon pushed himself off the wall, and slowly walked them to the bed on which SeokJin fell in, with NamJoon on top of him. The younger ran his hands down the older's sides, his lips leaving SeokJin's to place kisses on the actor's throat, and collarbone. At some point of the make out session, NamJoon had slipped his hands under SeokJin's shirt, eliciting a sweet lustful moan from the actor's lips, and had managed to smoothly pull his shirt off.
He kissed his neck, and lead a trail of kisses down his adam's apple, but he didn't stop there. He licked and nipped at his skin, and took the older's nipple in his mouth when his tongue came into contact with it. SeokJin moaned loudly in surprise as the unexpected nip from NamJoon's teeth against the sensitive pink nub sent a shock of pleasure down his spine.
NamJoon never noticed when his boyfriend unbuttoned his jeans, nor did he noticed when he pulled down the zipper. He only noticed that his boyfriend had made a move when he palmed him over his boxers. He moaned SeokJin's name, and thrusted on instinct causing his contriscted erection to rub against his boyfriend's.
They were both heavily out of breath from all the kissing, and moaning. Their faces were red from their series of intimate touches, but neither of them made an effort to stop anything of what was unfolding between them. In the desperation of his own heated moment, SeokJin flipped them so that NamJoon was laying on his back, and pulled his pants off completely leaving NamJoon in only his boxers and shirt.
"NamJoon," SeokJin murmured, keeping eye contact with his boyfriend. "you trust me right?"
The younger nodded. There was no doubt that NamJoon trusted SeokJin. After all, he had only trusted SeokJin with the secret of his past heart surgery. But even thinking about the fact SeokJin knew about his health worried him. He always worried that his boyfriend would regret ever thinking of even dating a sick person who had had previous surgery that wouldn't guarantee his survival. It always worried him that SeokJin would see his scar, and be disgusted.
And his fear was slowly coming undone in front of him.
The young actor slowly began sliding NamJoon's shirt upwards as the younger fisted the sheets until his knuckles were white. Despite already being out of breath, his heartbeat accelerated, and his breathing turned even more irregular. Seeing this, his boyfriend left his shirt at the tip of his scar, and gently grabbed the younger's hands.
"NamJoon," he murmured as he gently, but lovingly placed short kisses on his hands, and cheeks. "Please don't think of what I'll think. I love you, and there's no imperfection of yours that I'll hate. Every single one of your flaws adds up to make you the perfect person you are right now, and there is nothing about you that should ever change. Please believe that."
NamJoon nodded nervously, and leaned up to kiss SeokJin. Hesitantly, he pulled his own shirt up and over his head, and threw it somewhere in the room. When SeokJin did nothing, but stare at his scar, NamJoon subconsciously raised his arms to cover it.
"No," SeokJin grabbed his arms, and leaned down to kiss the center of his scar. "Don't hide it, Joonie. You shouldn't be ashamed of a scar like this one. You survived a surgery with less than 30 percent chances of survival, and this is your victory scar, and it's beautiful. Want to know what else, victory scars are the matches to my lumber."
Despite feeling flattered because of SeokJin's words, NamJoon still tilted his head in confusion at his last statement.
"Basically," SeokJin began to explain, placing kisses down NamJoon's scar in between words, "your. Victory. Scar. Turns. Me. On."
The younger male's face went completely red from embarrassement causing SeokJin to chuckle, and pressed his lips against the other's.
"No matter what you have, or don't have," SeokJin reassured him, "you will always be perfect to me, and to yourself. I love you for that, and you should love yourself for your flaws too."
And he knew at that moment that all his insecurities were nothing, but useless thoughts that swirled in his mind trying to hold him back in the world.
NamJoon gave himself to SeokJin that night wiithout a regret afterwards. SeokJin made sure that his insecurities never resurfaced, and even when they had fights, he never used anything against him.
Of course, everything good in life comes to an end at some point, but even after their break up a few years after, they still managed to stay friends. SeokJin never left his side.
When NamJoon's disease returned, the older was there to help him after his surgeries, and reassure him of every scar that was left behind. When the fateful day came, and Kim NamJoon passed away at the age of 35, SeokJin was there to hold his hand during his last breath, and to wipe his last tear away. His last words were what broke him, and sent him into a storm of depression.
A few years after NamJoon's passing, SeokJin was asked to write an autobiography script. When fans asked for it to be produced, a director was quick to take it up. SeokJin decided that he wanted to play a role, but not his own. Instead, he helped the director choose an uprising actor, Kim Taehyung, to play SeokJin, while the A-list actor played his old friend.
For years, "Your Flaws Mean Perfection" was the best selling movie in South Korea, and it was best known for NamJoon's last words. His last words, though they caused it in the first place, were the only thing that helped him eventually surpass his depression, and inspired millions of other works of arts.
"You helped me see that there was nothing wrong with me, and that flaws are not a weakness, but a strength, and I will forever be in a deep dept to you even after death. You will forever be my only love, and I need you to remember that because of you I have taken what was given to me, and I have lived the life I was meant to live."
And yes, Kim SeokJin lived a happy life. After the end of the filming, he and Taehyung had kept contact, and had ended up together at some point. He felt alright with himself for he knew that NamJoon was proud of him for moving on, and allowing himself to be happy.
