Chapter 1 - An Unexpected Discovery
Monday. Just another ordinary day, or so I thought. I was woken up by Kiki my pet monkey, typical, and for some odd reason, I could actually understand every single thing she said to me, and I wasn't just her usual screeching.
"Wake up Rima or you're going to be late for school!!"
*OMG! How can Kiki talk???*
"Well,... It's a long story."
*What? How she can hear my thoughts? Why can I hear her talk? Am I some kind of freak of nature?*
"Okay, STOP TALKING TO YOURSELF IN YOUR HEAD!!!"
"OK, OK! Just answer my questions first."
"Fine. I'll answer them when you get home because if you don't hurry up, YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!!"
I looked at the clock and it said 8:00. OMG! I have school in 20 minutes!
"Told ya!"
I put on my school uniform and ran out the door, grabbing a piece of toast on the way out.

"Kiki, you better have a good explanation for you talking and reading my thoughts!"
"Ok, I don't know how to break it to you, but...
