A man was watching television with his wife and two sons. Suddenly, the scene froze and only the man was moving. A strange being showed up and made the man an offer. He accepted.
A man, the father, was standing over another man. In the father's hand was a knife. Stabbing down, the other man died. Moments later, the police showed up. The father rotted away in prison.
On a battlefield, the father was running towards the enemy. Gunshots were fired back and forth. Other soldiers were dying left and right. The father didn't see that. He only saw the bullet aiming at his own heart.
These visions continued. Each time the life got worse, and the death more gruesome. Slowly, the father's sanity cracked. He cried and begged to be freed. It never happened.
After thousands of lives were visited, the man was finally free to return home. Upon entering the house, the man witnessed his wife's delicious cooking on the table. His family gave him kind smiles and called him to the table. The man didn't feel normal. He took a pistol out of his pocket.
The man smiled and cried when he saw the bodies reform after each fire. Finally, the entire scene played again, and again, and again
"If you could make a trade to witness your past lives, would you?" The man finally figured out what he traded.
