Rachel's Pov

Everything is good. Everything is great. My family is happy, no fighting has occurred in a week, and that's a record. My boyfriend and I are known to the school and we couldn't be happier.

Currently I'm walking with Mercedes who was informing me that she had a new crush when an announcement was made over the loudspeaker that would change my mood.

Quinn, Rachel, and Noah Corcoran please report to the office.

"I've gotta go, see you later Mercedes." I said turning around and meeting up with Quinn and Puck. "Do you guys know what this is about?"

"No idea." They both replied at the same time.

As we entered the office we saw our mom standing there. She summoned us over so we walked towards her.

"Your brother's in the hospital and I'm going to explain what I know in the car." Mom said leading us out of the school. My mind was racing with thoughts and feelings but the feeling that was sticking out the most was confusion.

"You guys probably have a lot of questions." Mom said as Puck and I sat in the middle row of seats and Quinn sat in the passengers seat. We all nodded as mom put the car into motion and started driving. "Well, today Blaine was beaten up in the hallway, I have no idea why. I picked up both Blaine and Santana from school and drove them to the hospital. Blaine is in the ER and Santana is in the waiting room."

I sighed and stared out of my window looking out as the trees went by fast. The car turned into the parking lot of the hospital and my mom found a spot to park in front of the hospital. She turned the car off and we all stepped out of it.

I went inside to see Santana sitting by herself in the waiting room. She is looking at her shoes and playing with a rubber band. Santana and her damn rubber bands. The reason she always carries around rubber bands is because that's what our dad would do, and he would play with them when he was sad, scared, or mad. Puck and Santana both started doing that after dad dies, for them it's very distracting but helpful.

I walked over to where she was sitting and sat next to her. Santana looked up and half smiled at me.

"Hey, do you know why Blaine was, you know..." I trailed off awkwardly not knowing how to put it.

"Beaten up?" I nodded. "Yes, but he told me not to tell anyone, not until he was ready."

We were finally home after long hours of hearing the doctor drone on and on. Blaine has bruises all over his body and he has a broken arm. Nobody had talked the whole car ride home, or even in the hospital after Santana and I's small conversation, which means we still don't know why Blaine was beaten up.

"I have a feeling you guys want to know why I was beaten up." Blaine took a guess which was absolutely correct. We all nodded as he stood in front of the couch. "Please everyone sit."

We all made our way to the couch and stared at Blaine. He pulled up a chair from the kitchen table as I got the most comfortable I could be with being squished between Puck and my mom.

"Ok, look, um," Blaine tried to find the right this to say. "So the um, reason I was, you know, beaten up... Um... I have something to admit. It's not anything b-bad I hope not at least, but."

Santana stood up and put her hand on his shoulder. "You could do this."

"Thanks San, so um I've been struggling with this," Blaine started once again. "And um, the reason I have never had a girlfriend is because..."

"Because your fourteen and you aren't allowed to have a girlfriend until your thirty." Mom said in a serious tone but we knew she was only joking.

Blaine rolled his eyes, "just listen guys, I'm trying to speak the truth. Ok so the reason I've never talked about having a crush on a girl is well, because, I-I'm g-gay."
