I rolled my eyes at him and turned to walk away, however, David stood in my path.
"Stop it, you'll get upset later if you don't make up now" he said.
I turned back round.
"If you prefer hanging out with Andrea instead of me then fine but at least tell me instead of just forgetting to invite me" I put pretend quote marks around forgetting.
"Gabbie, that's not true" Zane said, his voice cracked. He looked down and I felt bad.
"Why are you upset? I'm the one that should be upset" I said.
"I need to talk to you, not in front of everyone" Zane said and everyone looked surprised.
He got up and went outside and I followed him, catching Davids eye as I walked out the door.
We both shrugged at each other.
He sat down on the grass in the dark and I shut the door behind me and joined him.
"Your my best friend, I'm sorry" he said and began crying.
"Zane" I said, I moved closer to him. I was shocked, I'd never seen him cry before apart from when Heath said he might be moving to Florida and then didn't.
"I'm scared I'm going to end up alone, I need a girlfriend, you don't want to be with me so I don't know what to do" He said, his hands were over his face as he sobbed.
"Why are you so upset?" I said and he shrugged.
"I never said I wouldn't be with you" I said, my eyes filled up with tears.
"I feel alone to" I said.
"What?" He said, looking up and wiping away his tears.
"Why don't we try it?" I said.
"What being together?" He said.
"Yes" I said, I leant forward and wiped underneath his eyes.
"I've never cried like that" he sighed.
"And yes" he smiled.
"Let's date" I smiled.
"Okay" he grinned.
We both sat up on our knees, I wrapped my arms round him and he did the same.
"Let's stand up" I said and we let go and stood up.
I looked him in the eyes and we pecked lips before hugging each other again.
"Have you made up yet?" We heard a voice from behind us.
"Yeah we have Bruce, Hi" I said.
"They have" he yelled back into the room and everyone cheered.
We both laughed and went back inside.
"Thank you baby" I said.
"No, thank you baby" he said, putting an emphasis on you.
