Winter's Day-Kihyun

Your boyfriend Kihyun and you had planned to go out somewhere, yet neither of you bothered to check the weather. When you glanced outside, you noticed the ground thick with a layer of snow, and more flakes falling from the sky. It didn't show any sign of lightening up, so you grabbed your phone and dialled his number. Three rings sounded before he answered, his voice still slightly husky from only just waking up. 

''What do we do? It's snowing.'' You sighed slightly, disappointed that the weather seemed to hate you. Kihyun grumbled slightly as he thought, before responding. 

''Wrap up warm, I'll be there soon.'' And with that, the line went dead. You groaned in frustration, before walking into the bathroom. Your hair was slightly messy, but it was saved by a quick brush. You didn't bother with any makeup, you just washed your face and cleaned your teeth. Returning to the bedroom, you walked over to the wardrobe. Luckily, you had your winter coat and scarf still, along with your boots. You pulled on a grey jumper, a pair of jeans and wrapped the scarf around your neck.

Half an hour passed before there was a knock at the door, and you walked over. You opened it to Kihyun standing there: his hair dusted with snow, the tip of his nose and his ears red from the cold and clothed in a fairly large coat and scarf. He grinned sheepishly and knocked the loose snow off of his boots before coming in. You raised a questioning eyebrow and were about to ask him what he planned to do when he interrupted. 

''You got everything? I was thinking we could go for a little walk like we normally do.'' He smiled sweetly, and your slight frustration faded immediately. You nodded and pulled on your boots, reaching for your coat at the same time as Kihyun. Your hands brushed and you blushed slightly, before picking it up and pulling it on. You buttoned it up and looked over to Kihyun. He smiled and walked over, taking your hand and gently kissing your forehead. 

You both walked out into the snow, hands laced together as you started to walk. You fell into a regular conversation, talking and laughing as per usual. Time passed, and soon you were walking slightly behind. As you walked, you made a fun little game for yourself. You only stepped in Kihyun's tracks, too focused on that to catch the glimpse that he took back at you. He smirked to himself as he started to take wider strides, and soon you were struggling to keep up.

As he widened his paces as much as he could, you slipped and toppled into him. You both went down laughing, and Kihyun was the first one to sit up, showering your head with snow and laughing more. You were in stitches, and Kihyun was chuckling uncontrollably.  You both stayed there for a few moments, composing yourselves before Kihyun stood up and offered his hand to you. You took it and pulled yourself up, dusting off the snow and turning to him. 

He grinned mischievously before his arms encircled you and he picked you up bridal style without warning. You squealed slightly, punching his arm lightly. He laughed again as he started to carry you back home. You soon relaxed into his arms and hummed to yourself, smiling as Kihyun joined in too.  You reached your house, and Kihyun let you down so that you could unlock the door. 

You walked in, knocking the snow off your boots and shaking out your coat. You left your boots next to the door-Kihyun leaving his beside yours- before walking into the kitchen to make you both a hot drink. Kihyun walked into the front room and started the fire going, collecting the blankets from the back of the sofa. You walked back in, handing Kihyun his coffee and sitting beside him with your drink.

He draped the blanket over you both, gently pulling you closer as you settled into his side, sighing contently. He gently stroked your hair, and the two of you sat talking, until you both fell asleep together, cuddled closely by the fire, safe fron the chill of the winter's day.
