*4 weeks earlier*

It was pouring outside. Heavy raindrops falling fast and hard down on Baby's windshield. I drove faster and faster, my knuckles turning white as I gripped the steering wheel. My jaw clenched, eyes open wide and directed towards the dark gravel road ahead of me. I still had hours and hours before I reached the bunker.

I would occasiaonally rub my eyes with the back of my hand when I felt my eyelids closing slightly. I haven't slept in a few days and was exhausted. As a hunter I was used to the sleep deprivation and I could go without sleep for weeks at a time. But lately, those hunts have been leaving me drained. All I wanted to do was sleep for a week straight.

The car finally came to a stop in front of the bunker's main entrance. It wasn't raining as heavy as it used to just a few hours ago, but it still looked as if there were no chances of it stopping any time soon either.

I sat still in the car for a few moments, that seemed longer than they actually were. Thinking. Just a week ago I met my daughter. Laura

When her mother first contacted me, I was hunting a rugaru with Sam and of course I didn't believe her at first, but she swore up and down and I finally agreed to meet the kid. The next day I drove two states over, without telling Sam anything. I stood in front of the house for what seemed like hours, but was probably just a few minutes.

When I finally gathered the courage to ring the bell, Natalie answered almost immediately. Her eyes widened a little when she saw me and a slight smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. She still looked the same, even after all those years.

"I'm so glad you made it." - she let out. We stood there, staring at each other for a few seconds, before she spoke up again - "Please, come in." - she moved a bit to the side, inviting me in.

I stepped inside and looked around the house. I started walking around the living room and stopped to take a closer look of the pictures, that stood above the small fireplace. The first picture was of Natalie in the hospital, after giving birth to Laura. She had a huge smile on her face and Laura could barely be seen, because of the blanket that was wrapped around her tiny body.

"She's at school right now, but should be back soon." - I just shook my head and stared blankly at her - "Look, I know you have a lot of questions right now and I'll answer all of them, I promise." - she sat down on the couch and motioned for me to do the same, so I did.

"Why now?" - I asked and Natalie furrowed her eyebrows at me. - "Why are you telling me all of this now? Why wait for six fucking years?" -  the last part came out louder than I intended, but I didn't care - "Well, to be honest, I didn't want to tell you. Ever. I know what kind of life you live Dean and that's no life for a child." - I looked down a my hands. She was right. - "But-" - she continued - "lately, she's been asking a lot about her dad and before I used to tell her that you just worked a lot and couldn't be here all the time, but when I tell her that now she just gets so sad, bcause all her friends have dads. I just didn't want to lie to her anymore. I wanted her to have a father." - my heart broke a little more as those words came out of her mouth.

I was just about to speak, when someone came running through the door - "Mommy!" - a happy yelp filled the room and both of our heads snapped towards the door.

The little girl ran across the room in a matter of seconds, going straight into her mother's arms and wrapping herself around Natalie. - "Hey, baby." - Nat exclaimed and hugged the girl tightly.

Well, there was no DNA test needed, I immediately knew she was my daughter, not that I doubted her mother's words. She looked so much like me, I could never deny it.

When they pulled away, Laura finally noticed me. - "Who is that, mommy?" - she asked with her tiny voice. Natalie looked at me as if she was asking for some kind of permission and I just nodded my head.

"Well, do you remember what I've told you about your daddy?" - the little girl just shook her small head and looked up at me - "Are you my daddy?" - there was this sparkle in her eyes as she spoke, that made me smile wide.

"I am."

Now, I had no idea what to do. I've just come back from visiting them again, but of course, Y/N thought I was hunting a ghost somewhere in Utah. Sam was the only one who knew about Laura. I wasn't even planning on telling him, but he caught on and found out by himself a few day ago. He promised not to tell Y/N, as long as I told her myself. But I just couldn't.

After I parked the car in it's usual spot in the garage, I stood there for a few moments, before taking a few deep breaths and exiting.

As I walked through I expected Y/N to come running and wrap herself around me, just like she did every time, but I was disappointed when nobody came. I walked up to our shared room, to find Y/N already asleep. Weird - I thought, but quickly brushed it off. Maybe she just had a long day and was tired.

I placed my duffel carefully on the floor and stripped out of my clothes.

As I crawled into bed, I felt Y/N slowly stir awake - "Dean?" - she asked sleepily - "Hey, sweetheart." - I said and leaned down to peck her lips - "I missed you." - she huffed - "I missed you too."

And with that she fell soundly asleep again and for the rest of the night I drifted in and out of sleep.

I needed to tell her, or this guilt would eat me alive.
