(Look at that an update! I'm sorry for not updating this as often as I should. I'll try to update more often, but I won't make any promises. I hope you all enjoy this chapter.
Also, I have a letter story idea that I'd like to write with someone if anyone is interested in working on it with me, just send me a message.)

Dear Journal,
It's raining right now a yucky cold rain, makes me glad that I'm inside nice and warm. I'm listening to Simon and Garfunkel right now on the radio. It makes my room seem almost cozy, the rain pattering gently on the window and music playing softly in the background.
The Rolling Stones are going to be on The Ed Sullivan Show tomorrow night! I'm so pumped to see them, it'll be the next best thing to seeing them live I think. I love The Rolling Stones! I don't think I have been this ecstatic since The Beatles where on. That was a night, anyway, back to The Rolling Stones, they are right up there with The Doors.
Thursday a new TV show was on, Jen was all excited because she thought it was The Monkees even though she has it written on her calendar when the show will be on, in two days if you want to know, anyway, Mom seems to like it. It's about this girl who moves from New York to California to be an actress and she's selling things from a concession stand at an office building and these guys come up and ask her if she wants to be in a commercial.... she gets a crush on this guy who wants the same roll-top desk she wants and while she is shooting the commercial, she is pretending to get kidnapped for some perfume thing, the guy thinks that she really is getting kidnapped and 'saves' her. It's pretty funny.
I went to the library after school and got some books. One is a new one called 'Valley of the dolls' I think mom would kill me if she ever caught me reading something like that, the other is 'To kill a mockingbird.' I think I have read that book a hundred times since it came out. Dad gave it to me for my birthday and I have read my copy so many times that I can't read it anymore, hence why I need to get it at the library.
I'm off to bed.
Good Night.
Susan.

Dear Journal,
The Monkees have arrived right in our living room. Well no, not right in our living room but on our TV in our living room. Jennifer was freaking out and was begging me to hurry up with washing the supper dishes, it was her turn to dry, so she could sit down to watch it. It was only six thirty and the show started in a half hour, but Jen wanted to go and put on a clean dress and brush her hair, like they could see her through the TV. I humored her and told her to go on and I'd do up the rest of the dishes.
I will say, the TV show was pretty good I thought. After listening to that song for ages and seeing their faces all over I was glad to actually see Mike, Micky. Davy and Peter on the TV. Now maybe Jen will hush up about it for a bit. From what I could tell Davy and Peter play guitars, no, Mike and Peter play guitars, Davy is drums and Micky is tambourine...I think, to be honest I really wasn't paying much attention. If you want a more detailed description ask Jen.
School tomorrow.
Night.
Susan.
