Chapter 18: Darkness, Blood, hatred.
Aparri's POV

I wake up, on cold hard floor. I see red liquid spreading across the floor, what is blood? I feel pain. Hard pain. Everything hurt. Where was I? I scan the area and realize it's a prison cell. A black blob floats out of it, I blink and realize it's a phantom! It opens its mouth and says something. "Bgffgfgfhgjgdgddgdddrthh." TRANSLATION IS: THIS PRISONER HAS THE AMULET OF MIRA MUST TAKE IT THE PHANTOM FLOATS TOWARDS ME, It snatched the amulet away from me, I reached out but the phantom was out before I knew it. I shakily rise to my feet and walk towards a barred window. I can see a green and yellow female monkey gazing sadly at me, "Who are you? How did you get here?" I open my mouth, "I'm Aparri... I was walking outside last night and then..." I look down. "AHH WHERE IS MY TOPHAT AND MY WORN?!"

She stares at me, compassion in her gaze, "The phantoms take your rare items and put them who knows where. By the way I'm Jenny..... Wait... The Aparri?" Excitement fills her eyes like it's been a long time since she's seen something like me. "Yeah." "Then you better get out fast, try pulling things, since this tower was not built by phantoms, there could be a switch that will let you out. Try to release us maybe?" I smile and nod, "Thanks Jenny. I promise I'll get you out."

I sit on different parts of the bench, I pull it, I pull the chains on the floor and then something catches my eyes. A hook, I reach it and then pull down, ignoring the pain from my leg. I look at Jenny holding the barred windows as the door swings open, "Wish me luck!" The monkey's green eyes light up and she gives me a thumbs up. "Go Aparri!" The first thing I see are lasers, this would be a lot easier if I had my amulet. I duck down as one swings towards me and I dodge a few more, I catch glimpses of other monkeys, their eyes alight in happiness, which seemed as if they had not had any for a long time.

After dodging those eyeball lasers for a while I came across a switch that was meant to turn off the lasers. The phantoms had deliberately put a huge sign right there saying off button. I turned off the switch and the monkeys cheered, "There's some keys over there! By the way I'm Max." A red and white male monkey said, pointing over to a corner. I took a key and unlocked Max first, "WOOHOO! The phantoms must be planning something, you know. I have been hearing them talk about things, and the rumbles from the volcano are quite shaky." He ran off to some kind of door. I unlocked a few more monkeys who were called Nina, Al, and Lina. I unlocked Jenny and she smiled and gave me a key, "Here you go! That key unlocks our rare stuff!" I unlock the door and the monkeys take their items back and I sigh in relief as I put on my tophat and worn. I notice a beard in a corner, "Hey guys is this yours?" I ask them. They shake their heads, I had always wanted a beard. So I might as well keep it. The monkeys start hopping on a platform with Mira on it and gesture me to do so as well. The door opens, Max, Jenny, Al, Nina, and Lina smile at me, "I'm too scared to go," Lina says, "But you can go Aparri!" Nina cheers, "Go Aparri!" Al and Max say still jumping, Jenny smiles at me, "Thanks Aparri.... Don't let us down."

"I won't let any of you down, I promise." I say and confidentially jog out of the door, the monkey's cheers behind me. I eventually get to a room where there are a few mirror objects, and a crystal illuminating light. I dont know what else to do so I rotate the mirrors towards the crystal, and accidentally, on the last one turn it towards the door. It lights up and the door opens, I walk up the next floor. The next floor there are a few phantoms, the mirror things, and boom seeds. Cosmo had announced it on the television a few days ago that by using boom seeds you could kill phantoms. Why in the name of Mira were they here? The phantoms did not seem to see them, then it clicked, Cosmo had also said that they were invisible to phantoms and visible to Jammers. The phantoms noticed me and screeched in anger, but before they could attack I threw some at them

Bepper's POV

It was the fifth day since Aparri had gone missing. I told all my friends and fans and his friends and fans, and I had gathered up a search party, Momparri was going out of her mind with worry downstairs and Wisteria was sitting next to me sobbing. "Bepper, when was the last time you saw Aparri?" My heart aches looking at the brown and pink wolf. I hug her, and her sobs calm down. "Well, the last time I saw him he was telling me he was going to practice his powers." "What do you think happened to him?" "Well I heard the news about phantoms becoming more active." Ahem authors note, Aparri was blacked out longer than he thinks. Wisteria widens her eyes, "I heard the news talking about reports of missing monkeys and a huge phantom tower that used to belong to us!" My eyes widen with realization, "Aparri got kidnapped! We need to go to the phantom tower and see if he's alright!"

The phantoms exploded. I rotated the mirrors towards the crystal and the door, it opened. As I was walking upstairs I caught a glimpse of gold in the corner of my eye, I turn around and saw my amulet! I slide it on sighing in relief, stroking my beard before jogging upstairs. More eyeball lasers. I dodge a few of them and then run around a corner. There is a small gap and another laser, I crawl into the gap and then quickly swing around and grab a key, darting underneath the laser and opening the door. I think of the monkeys and turn off the switch. I go up a few more floors before reaching the top.

Wisteria's POV

Me and Bepper stand at the bottom of the tower. "Woah..." Bepper says, "It's so... Huge... It's so phantom..." I say. For some reason the gate is open, Bepper stares at me, "It's now or never." We enter the tower, Bepper gapes at the empty cages, "I wonder what happened to the prisoners..." I picture death in my mind. "Let's not think about it." "Agreed." We explore the prison room for a while before we hear excited chatting. We follow the noise and we see a group of monkeys. The chatting stops and a yellow and green female monkey lifts an eyebrow, "Who are you? Why are you here?" Bepper and I exchange looks, "I'm Bepper and this is Wisteriamoon, my brother slash Wisteria's boyfriend Aparri went missing and we guessed he was in here." The monkey smiles, "Oh! You know Aparri! Well he just rescued us from the prison, he went up the tower! By the way I'm Jenny, this is Max, Al, Nina, and Lina." I sigh in relief, "Do you know what's up there?" "Nah. Not really. He went that way." Bepper and I smile at the monkeys, "How about you come with us?"

Max smiles, "If you go up I will!" The monkeys follow us up the stairs and we realize that Aparri's already killed the phantoms.

Aparri's POV

Finally, the seventh floor, I pick up a few boom seeds as a few phantoms spot me, I dodge some lightning and see a thing where phantoms emerge from. First thought is to blow it up. I throw a boom seed at it and it blows up, I throw more at the rest of the pods. Then I have to deal with the rest. I throw boom seeds at them but the last one strikes me with lightning. I cry out in pain, everything goes black.

I open my eyes to see Wisteria kneeling over me, along with.... Bepper? I barely recognized them, and I see the monkeys standing off to the side. "Wisteria? Bepper? Max, Jenny, Al, Lina, Nina? What are you guys doing here?" I shakily rise to my feet. Bepper squeezes me, "We came to rescue you! Wisteria did mouth to mouth to save your life cause you were dying." Wisteria blushes, "Al and Lina killed the last pod," The two monkeys puff out their chests, "Nina found some parachutes," "Jenny stopped the bleeding and-" Bepper was interrupted by Max, "Hey guys look! HI ALPHA GREELY!!!!!!"

Oh yes, be proud of me guys, I have done about 1570 words!!!! Anyway..... I feel accomplished. Expect the new cover tomorrow, because my little sis just won't get off the computer. This huge chapter make up for the tiny little chapter above. Please comment if you like this!
