Maria scrolled down the page, tapping idly at the track pad. Everything was so dull. Social media was dull, the news was dull - even her favourite sports team were drawing 0-0. It seemed destined to be a long, boring day.

An article flashed past, and Maria paused, focusing properly on the screen. Did that say what she thought it had?

"Amazing Marshmallow Dare - Worst Ever!!"

She'd heard of a marshmallow dare, on one or two of the more interesting forums she'd joined, but no one ever explained how it was done. Clicking the link, Maria watched with widening eyes as the video told her exactly how she was going to spend the rest of her dull, dull, suddenly very interesting day off.

Closing the page, Maria jumped up and ran to the kitchen. Jumbo marshmallows - perfect! She took the whole bag with her into the bathroom and locked the door.
