"I'm leaving" my other brother calls from down the hall. I trip trying to shove my feet into either pants leg running down the stairs. My bag in hand as my shirt drapes around my neck. In this neighborhood the last thing you want is to be a scrawny little white boy walking the streets by yourself. I shove a piece of bread, not time for toast, into my mouth before slamming the door open and running outside, My older brother Jasper, rolls his eyes as he leans calmly against the lousy, beatdown metal fence. I adjust my clothes properly, as we stroll to school in silence.
The bell rang a good fifteen minutes ago, the halls are abandoned and silent as I make my way to first period. I crack open the door I already see glances heading my way, I hated attention. I creep into the room, Ms. Jen giving me a once over before silently going back to writing the lesson plan on the whiteboard. I take my seat in the back right corner of the classroom, my classmates slowly turning back around their disapproving stares dematerializing. I pull out my textbook, wiping the tired on my eyes before copying down whatever she was writing as I walked in.
Once again the piercing sound of ringing surrounds the school. The voices of nearby students filling my ears as I make my way to lunch. I'm not eating today, not like I normally do, my family doesn't have the money, the younger ones should always come first. I take out the oldest version of an mp3 player and earphones in which only one of the earbuds work. I put my head down catching up on much needed sleep, I awake probably not more than ten minutes later when a friendly hand claps my back. Jasper takes the seat next to me,
"Eat this" he tosses a sandwhich onto the table, it landing right in front of my numb crossed arms. I look at him a perplexed look on my face, seeing this he answers the question i didn't yet voice. "I picked up an extra shift yesterday had some extra cash, though i can treat us to some lunch" I pull the working earphone out of my ear, giving Jasper my undivided attention.
"Thanks" I crack him a small smile, we have always been really close, we tell each other pretty much everything, he has always been there for me through thick and thin. I guess we kind of have to be, our parents are divorced and our father is a drunkard.
"You still got a shift tonight?" I nod my head enjoying the special meal he had gotten for me. "Cool, can you grab a book for me next please?" I nod yet again still not stopping for air, my stomach releases a low grumble to prove it. "I'll text u the title later." I know, I seem like such a mute but talking is not necessarily my forte, I mean i am perfectly fine at home but when it comes to school that's a big no no. I need to be comfortable with people before I can talk, hence why Jasper is so much more talkative than me.
"Will you drop me off at work after school?" I whisper into his ear.
"Sure thing" he says just before the bell rings. He gets up tossing his bag over his shoulder, throwing a wave my way. I, on the other hand take my sweet-ass time. I slowly roll up my earphones shoving them into my pocket, and gently put my ipod back into its designated place in my backpack. By the time my supplies are nicely put back the cafeteria is empty. I head out the doors and into the library seeing as I have an open period now, it's junior year but I piled on all of my credits on in the first two, so I only have two classes a day on one in the morning on Fridays.
"Hey bud" an all too familiar voice states, I stop in my tracks not daring to turn around and make eye contact with him. A hand comes to the back of my head, grabbing my dark brown hair. I whimper, his fingers slowly moving down my head stopping on the back of my neck. He tightens his grip on the back of my neck slightly causing my knees to shake, with his controlling grip he leads me into the bathroom.
"Please stop" my voice is weak. He doesn't, he continues on my breathing becomes labored as his lips meet the nape of my neck. "No..." I let out a slight whisper as he turns me around his lips not leaving my skin, just moving them up to my jaw. He pulls me in for a hug and feel the tent in his pants resting on my upper thigh.
