Katherine Meyers' POV
I wake up to my vision being blurry but I can see all the white. I heard a faint voice and turn in the direction of the owner.
Suddenly, my vision cleared up and I saw a doctor.
He was young and had blond hair. He had topaz gold eyes. I automatically knew what he was. A cold one vampire.
My vision cleared and I slowly sat up.
"Hello, Katherine. My name is Dr. Cullen. You're in the hospital." He says.
I look around and saw that I was in a hospital bed.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Your family brought you in saying you fell off the roof while helping your father with a whole in the rain but your injuries implicate something else." He says.
I stay quiet.
"Katherine, are you being abused at home?" He asks me.
I stay quiet. He sits next to me and takes my hand.
"Katherine... I want to help you. I feel very protective of you. I can't explain it right now but I will soon if you just tell me the truth. What is happening to you?" He asks.
I was so nervous. I could hear my parents coming so I grab Dr. Cullen's hand and project my life with them to him.
Every amount of torture, pain, beatings, etc I endured. Even protecting my siblings for trying to help me.
I pull back and he was so shocked and looked at me with horror.
The door opened and I saw my parents. Dr. Cullen snapped out of it and saw my parents.
"This room is for medical personal and immediate family only." Dr. Cullen says.
"We're her parents. And we're taking her home." My mother says.
"She's not going anywhere until I clear her. She's sustained serious injuries and I'm not comfortable discharging her so soon. So she will be staying here until I feel she's 100% healed. So please leave so I can start some tests." Dr. Cullen says.
My parents were furious and I read their thoughts. I winced and then they left.
"Katherine, how did you do that?" Dr. Cullen asks me.
"Look... I found out what I am when I was 13. Those assholes blurted it out to me when they were pissed. I'm an original tribrid. Witch, vampire, werewolf. But I'm two types of vampire. Cold one, your kind, and nightwalker. Werewolf, I turn when I choose to, before I use to turn only on a full moon." I say.
"You're are one special girl." He says.
I smile then he looks out the door.
"My shift is almost over so when it is, I'm gonna sneak you out of here and I'm bringing you home with me. My family would love a new addition to us." He says.
"I can't ask you to take me on. My life is a series of complications and death and danger and sorrow and---" he cuts me off.
"Sh. Katherine, I'm more than happy to take you in." He says.
I sigh then nod.
