There's a boy that lives in a small town called Perouges that's located in France and the year is 1740. The boy is gorgeous and his name is Ben. Ben has short brown hair that's soft and he has hazel eyes. He's 5'6 with fair skin, pink lips, and rosy cheeks. He has a heart shaped face and he's truly a beautiful and gentle soul.
His father's name is Maurice and he's an inventor. Their house is on the outskirts of town so Maurice could have room for his inventions. They also have a small farm that has chickens, 3 pigs, a horse, a dog, and 4 goats.
He loved the little town of Perouges but the town's people call him odd. They love him but believe that he's a strange boy. Maurice moved them there when Ben was just a little boy, after his mother died. The small town was surrounded by mountains and forests. Ben loved it there because it was so beautiful.
Well, enough of that. Let's go see what Ben is doing right now.
~Ben's Point Of View~
I grabbed my basket and the book that I borrowed from the book store. I went out the front door, smiling. I walked down the steps of our porch and went to our cellar door. I opened the door and called down to my father.
"Bye Papa! I'm leaving to go to the book store now!" I called down the cellar
"Alright! See ya later Ben!" I heard my father call back up to me.
I smiled and closed the door. I turned from the cellar and I was off. It takes me about 3 minutes to get to town. As I walked, I started to sing a song that my mother used to sing to me.
"Dancing bears
Painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a DecemberSomeone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory.Far away,
Long ago,
Glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart used to know
Things it yearns to remember
And a song someone singsOnce upon a December."
I smiled as I stopped singing. Once I was in town, I headed to the book store. I opened the door and walked in. I smiled when I saw the book keeper putting up some books onto the shelves.
"Hello, Mr. Billard." I said with a smile.
"Why, hello there Ben. You came back to return that book you borrowed?" the old man said.
"Yes, sir. May I borrow another one?" I asked as I gave him the book I borrowed.
"Yes you may. Just pick out any one you want." he said as he went and out the book on the shelf.
"Thank you!" I exclaimed excitedly with a grin then I went and looked for another book.
It took me a few minutes and I found three books that looked good. The books are "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer, "Princess of Glass" by Jessica Day, and "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I took a chance and decided to read "Cinder" and I put the other two books back where they were.
