Chapter One: The Introduction

Many city have their own super hero, Metropolis as Superman, Starling city has The Green Arrow, Central city has the Flash, Gotham has Batman. Here, in this city of Padeeday, we have SuperGem. She is here to make sure our city is always protected from criminals but also that we are protected from ourselves. She is a master of time. In only one hand gesture, she can stop, slow down, or fast forward time. One time, she stopped people from robbing a bank by only stopping time, bringing back all the money that was taken in the safe, and bringing policemen on the scene. She is the hero Padeeday needed; she is the hero they deserved. She brought back a smile on the face on everyone. She made this city worth it to live in. She was the life of this city, its soul. Everyone in Padeeday knew who SuperGem was yet no one knew how she was under her mask. Who was under that small black mask? To whom belong those beautiful hazel eyes and that short brown hair? One day, one person found out. This is that story. This isn't just like any a story about a superhero; this is the story of a friendship between a superhero and a normal and simple human being. This is their story. How did they meet? What's their story? Let's see...

First, let's get to know that simple human being. She was just out of her teenage years and she just started university. She was a shy individual with big dreams and an even bigger past. Not that it was the biggest ever seen, there are so much worse in the world, but to this girl, her problems used to be life threatening. Even if she was a survivor of her past, she never stopped fighting her dark side every single day. Ever since her young age, she always wanted to help people. And now that she was an adult, she put all her energy into this, putting everything and everyone before herself and pushing them forward so they received the light they deserve. She was okay being in the dark if that meant making everyone else around her find their sunlight. Our girl didn't have many friends, not that she wasn't friendly with people, but mostly she felt like to have more of them would mean having to open up to them and that was scary. That girl, that's me or more like me from a few years ago. Oh, I never mentioned my name didn't I... Should I keep the suspense any longer? Nah, I won't do that to you. I am Isabel, I go by Isa most of the time, and this is my story too. This is the story of how I met one of my best friends and how it all changed my life.
