Echo Scene. A 17 year old girl who suffers from Insomnia and has heterochromia. She developed her insomnia at the young age of 5 years old. She only lived with her father and never met her mother.
Her father, Famous scientist, Jeffery Scene, Married a beautiful woman named Marianne Stevens. But on the date, October 31, 1993. She had a healthy child with jet black hair, her left eye being a bright vibrant red and her right eye being a pure gold, and her skin being extremely pale. But that next morning, Jeffery went to see his loving wife and his only small child, only to find out that his wife was missing as his daughter cried in her mothers hospital bed, as if she was set and abandoned there.
Ever since that day, Jeffery tried his hardest to be a good father and take good care of his daughter. As he raised his daughter, he always did research on a place called the Vale. he believed that it was a real place, and so did many others. Although he had a different opinion on it. Unlike everyone else who believed it was a place full of horror and death...
But they we're wrong...
On Echo's 5th birthday, her father got a strange message. it was full of static and what it said was. " *static* Jeffery... *static* 'm.*static* ve and sa... *static* n the vale... *static* keys... *static*" and that was all he heard. After a while, he was able to make out that it said "Jeffery, i'm alive and safe but i'm stuck in the vale. You need to make the keys...." and after he put all that together, he was able to figure out that it was his beloved wife who went missing exactly 5 years ago. After that day, he spent more time in his lab at his home and did as much research as he could so he could make a special key that could allow him and is only child to finally see his wife. 3 years later, Echo walked into her fathers lab to watch him work because she was always interested in his work. She had to stand on her toes to look over her fathers desk. Jeffery took notice of her struggle and stopped doing his work. He picked up hid daughter and set her on hes lap. "Daddy. What are you working on?" Asked the curios little girl. She notices the mold for a key, and many different mixtures of the most random things. "I'm working on something that's vary important." He responded with. "but what is it though?". The young girls father chuckles "It's a key for a place that is filled with... 'special' people." He tells her. "are they good 'special' people?". He chuckles once more. "Yes, there are good special people... " His facial expression turns serious, along with the tone in his voice. "but not all of them... there are some bad ones to... " Echo nods to show that she understood but she then remembers and puts on a bright smile. "Would we be able to see mommy?" Jeffery was taken by slight surprise. Echo then added "You always said that she was special so would we be able to see her?" her father looked at her for a moment to see the hope in her eyes. He then picked her up and set her on the ground. He puts on a sweet smile and crouches down to her height, he pats her head. "of coarse.... and.... yes... you'll be able to see your mother..."Echo smiles at his answer. "Really?! When can we see her?" She asks excitedly. "Not now, but when the time comes, you'll know..." she takes a pen from her fathers shirt pocket. "Ok" Jeffery stands back up and sits in his chair. "Now go play sweetie" echo nods with a smile and walks to the living room and starts to draw. Jeffery continues to do is work. 'soon....'
~1 Year later~
9 year old Echo, who was at the nearby park, walked through the door of her home. "i'm home daddy" she informs her father who is in his lab. She walks into his lab to see if he was working. She couldn't find him in his lab but she did see card on his desk. it read 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY ECHO' she smiled. She heard footsteps and then looked in the doorway. She saw her father standing in the doorway with a small box. "Happy birthday sweetie..." he smiles at his 9 year old daughter. She ran up to him and hugged him. "Thank you daddy!" He chuckled at her then hugged her back. She noticed the box in his hand. he noticed her looking at it. "Hey sweetie, wanna open your present?" he asked kindly. Echo stopped hugging him and nodded excitedly. "Ok then, go sit at the table and then you'll open it." "Ok" She said excitedly, she then ran to he table and sat in the chair. Jeffery smiled at her. He then gave her, her gift. She looked at it for a second then she opened it. When she opened in, she saw two keys. One of the keys was white with many engraved marks on it, the engravings had a slight blue glow in them. The other key looked exactly like it just instead of it being white, it was black and the engravings had the blue glow as well but it was a little more visible. Echo looked at her father then back at the keys with wonder filled eyes. Jeffery noticed the look in his daughters eyes. "i really like them daddy, but what are they for?" she looks up at her father, wanting to know what the pretty keys are for. "Do you remember that 'special' place that i told you about a while back?" Echo nodded. "well, these keys will take you there." He said cheerfully. Echo put on a bright smile. "Really!?!" Her father nodded. He then took out the black key, Echo finally noticed the chains on the keys, and put it around her neck. Jeffery took the white one. "hey Echo, do you want to go to the special place now? I've been wanting you to meet someone for some time now.." Echo looked at him and nodded excitedly and stood up. he chuckles. "Alright then... Lets go" After those words, him and his daughter walked to a big door that was in his lab. Echo always wondered what it was for ever since he built it. Echo's father smiled at her, then he put the white key in the key hole and twisted it. she heard a click that must've meant that the door unlocked. Jeffery opened the door and Echo saw that inside was an exact replica of her home just much darker. It didn't bug Echo though because she likes the dark, mostly because of the pretty faint glow that both of her eyes gave off at night.
What she didn't realize is that everything in her life was about to change.
