Alex's POV
"Alex... Alex..." a voice pranced into my ears. Fingers pressed against my cheek and soft hands picked up my 'bangs' and dropped them over my face. I lazily brushed them away, and the voice kept going. "Alex... time to get up... Alex..."
I finally opened my eyes to see the delightful face of my significant other John Laurens. "Morning," the freckled boy smirked.
"Good morning," I smiled as a groggily got up, kissing John quickly on the lips.
"I'm making breakfast," John said as I reached my hand towards my nightstand. I grasped some rubber bands and pulled my dark hair up into a ponytail. One word was on my mind: work. But of course, my phone came first.
I draped a blanket around my shoulders and slowly walked out of the room I shared with John and slumped down onto the couch, scrolling through Instagram.
I smiled and instantly double tapped the photo John posted yesterday of the turtle we saw at the aquarium. I quickly commented a "that was amazing! The turtle reminds me of you xxx" before continuing my scrolling.
Hercules posted a picture of his coffee mug at work. Double tap. Lafayette had posted a picture of Peggy typing away at her laptop, and the caption read: "Here is your daily dose of bae". Herc had commented "cringe" and Peggy had commented "ahaha, wait till you see what's on my page ;) <3"
Little saps. I smiled half heartedly and I was going to resume my endless scrolling, but then I heard the clang of the plate on the coffee table.
"Breakfast is served," John grinned as he set down his plate and cuddled next to his boyfriend.
"Waffles," I smiled. "You're amazing, John." I gave him another quick kiss before going on to scroll through Instagram, this time sharing my screen with John.
"Another feminism post," John commented as we scroll past a screenshot of an article about LGBTQ rights. Angelica ran a feminism page on Instagram and it was very popular.
"Ha! Peggy has posted a picture of Laf making a coffee, and he posted a picture of her working."
"Couple goals, honestly."
I raised an eyebrow.
"After us, silly!"
"Oh my god, look at these lovely ladies." I said as I spotted a post from Maria - She was wearing a very fluffy red jumper, and her chocolate curls were cascading down her face. She was holding her girlfriend, Eliza, close to her, the photo capturing a kiss on the cheek. Eliza was wearing a jumper that looked similar to Maria's, except it was light blue.
"They're so gay," John said. "It's fucking adorable."
Thomas Jefferson posted a picture of his mac and cheese, and the two men laughed their asses off. James Madison posted a picture of his soaps, and the two men laughed even harder. Aaron Burr posted a picture of a cross-stitch frame that said "Talk less, smile more". Apparently Eliza had made it for him. The two men didn't know whether to laugh or not.
"Now that we're done, eat your waffles or I'll shove them down your throat."
"I love you too."

PEGGY'S P.O.V
We all agreed to meet together at the cafe for an afternoon break. 'Liza was going to bring Princess, the Labrador Retriever puppy she was raising. Princess was going to be a guide dog puppy and Eliza was raising her and also training her.
I walked swiftly over to the cafe, and fireworks came about when I laid my eyes on Lafayette's face. We were dating; and we were the only straight couple in the squad. We took some seats just outside and I gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
"So, how are things going?" I asked.
"Excellent. Even better now you're here." Lafayette replied with a beaming smile.
"Aww, you're so sweet."
"Hey, Pegleg! Laffy Taffy!"
Only one individual could call us that. Hercules.
"Hey!" I grinned wide as I welcomed the burly man to our table.
"Ayeee," Laf smirked. I reached for Laf's hand and squeezed it.
"Me and Laf were just having a nice little chat... weren't we?"
"Yeah, we were." Laf smiled as he gave me a quick kiss on the lips. I noticed out of the corner of my eye, Herc shifted in their seat, looking uncomfortable. Everyone knows they used to be dating Laf, but no one knows why they broke up.
Soon, everyone had arrived, and we all ordered our food. The last two to arrive were Maria and Eliza. They came in hand-in-hand, Eliza's other hand gripping a pink leash tight as she held back an over-enthusiastic puppy the colour of honey.
"Hello beautiful!" I beamed, greeting the sweet puppy. I've met Princess before but it's always a delight to see her.
Angelica strode over to give the canine a quick cuddle. She asked, "How is her training going along?"
"She's doing wonderful," Eliza smiled.
"She has," Maria commented. "Liz and I will be sad to see her go, but it'll be for a good cause."
I nodded at the woman dressed in red, and I had never really took in her beautiful features until now. Long chocolate curls. They must feel so soft. Big brown eyes. Nice body shape.
No, Peggy! She's not your girlfriend, she's your sister's love. Plus, you're already dating someone. Imbecile.
"Our food is here!" Thomas exclaimed. We all turned our heads and I took a little sip of the mini cappuccino and a large bite out of my cupcake. It was delicious. Eliza and Maria sat across me. They were very happy together, a truly sweet and pure couple.
I know Eliza is something. She's my sister, and an amazing one too! Angelica and I know her like we know our own minds, you'll never find anyone as trusting or as kind. But Maria...
Maria was stunning. I've never seen anyone more beautiful in my life before. I wasn't as close to her as everyone else though, so I didn't know her personality all that well, but...
A hard feeling hit my stomach.
What if I was falling for my sister's girlfriend while I'm still in a relationship with the best boyfriend in the world?
