Breath

Across the branches, lifeless and brittle,

Cracked and somber, soft and whispered crackles

On leaves,

Bathed watery in purity and death.

Crunching, sighing, pressed against the trunk,

Bark course on sallow skin.

Piercing air,

Fast against organs, mortal space,

Stardust given.

Beam of sun, dancing warmth, pinprick in the frozen air.

Arrows of darting radiation through vacuumed eternity.

Dark building

Of Earth's child basks,

Lackadaisical apathy mankind spreads across the land.

Grey paint percolates the landscape.

Leeching,

Sapping,

Draining.

Thus here, existence.

Prison walls, original thoughts escape.

The walls dappled with years of meaningful ideas.

Suck me dry.

Escape through trees,

It all comes back,

Flooded, drowning.

Feel good.

Dance with

Winter.

Hibernation in

Wool.
