Dear Mrs. X,
Righteous but a know it all
Only seeing your pain and hardships
Thinking you're always right
Questioning and judging my every mistake
Claiming that I don't love you
Well Dear Mrs. X,
Although you may take these words as immaturity
In the depth of my juvenile heart,
There is a sadness creeping in with each look in your eyes
There is a pain creeping in with knowing that you do not get me
As in these difficult moments of my life filled with uncertainty
I just want you to understand,
Understand me
You may take my behavior as a cry for help
But all I need and want is for you to understand,
Understand me
But I know these words won't reach you
Because there is no reason why I should be anything but happy
Since you do your best in providing for me
When you're the very one who told me sometimes our best is not enough
However, for some unknown reason, I want to reach out
As in this moment right now, I need no one but you
To hold and love me in comprehension
But when the time comes
You fold your hands and step back with a frown on your face
When Dear Mrs. X,
I just want you to understand,
Understand me
You may take my actions as a cry for help
But all I need and want is for you to understand,
Understand me.
