Chapter 1: The Encounter Pt. 1

Tatsumi had seen some crazy stuff during his time with Night Raid. He's seen a meat hoarder with red eyes and a cursed katana, a whiny girl with an obsession over shopping for pink stuff brandishing a giant sniper, a clumsy and ditzy young woman wielding a giant pair of scissors, literally a neko girl (or rather a neko woman) trying to suffocate him with her breasts, a perverted green hair dude with strings as weapons, a homosexual man coming onto him who also uses a demon armor, a woman with an eye patch and a mechanical arm that shoots out when possible, a girl with the ability to literally become anything, and a giant guy that is just invincible but is a perfectionist. But this...he knew this had to be the weirdest thing he has seen. "Where the hell am I?" he asked out loud, then realizing that there was no one there near him. He looked around, the emerald green leaf trees telling him that he was left all alone in some sort of forest. Besides the occasional rustle of the leaves, no other noises were made, making the forest peaceful, almost too peaceful. Tatsumi looked around, marking out each potential ambush points, whether for him, Night Raid, or potential enemies to use/be used, before deciding to head deeper into the forest. While he knew that activating Incursio would allow him to become faster, he decided against it, knowing that he still needs to train hard in order to use it for more than 10 minutes.

After 30 minutes of walking, Tatsumi reached a sort of temple. The "temple" wasn't really a temple, but rather, remnants of one. It had a circular base with moss growing on the intact parts of it, containing pedestals for, well, something. Tatsumi looked around, trying to sense anyone familiar close by. Shockingly, he felt one. He turned around and saw Mine heading towards the temple, followed closely by three strange and unknown beasts. "HEY,  IDIOT,  GET THESE DANGER BEASTS OFF OF ME!" she yelled. "A different type of Danger Beasts?!" Tatsumi thought as he quickly summoned the Demon Armor Incursio. At first, it felt normal, but then he realized...he didn't use Incursio's key but rather, summoned it on instinct. "What the hell is going on?! Agh, no time to figure it out! I have to save Mine!" He rushed at the beasts, their images becoming much more clearer as he neared it. 

The beasts were very similar to a Gifnora Dog, black all over with spots of white and red blazing eyes, bone-like spikes protruding out of their body. As soon as they spotted him, the creatures groweld and roared at him, charging at the same pace he was charging at them. Once he was close enough, Tatsumi managed to punch one in its stomach, causing it to fly into several trees before crashing into the side of a cliff. A few seconds later, it dissolved into smoke. "Holy-what did I just do?" Tatsumi thought, not seeing the other two beasts coming up behind him. As he began to turn around, however, a gunshot rang out, hitting and killing both beasts, the bullet nearly hitting Tatsumi's head while also being splashed with their "remains". "Agh, Mine! If you're gonna shoot them, at least warn me first!" he shouted at her, taking off the armor and reverting back into his normal clothing. "You stupid idiot! That was a shotgun that was fired off! My dear Pumpkin doesn't have a shotgun attachment." Mine yelled back. "Well then if it wasn't you, then who else could it possibly be?!" Tatsumi argued with her. They continued to bicker for ten minutes, not noticing the young women coming up to them as they quarreled.
