Ch. 5 ~ Togetherness

Vlad

"She is out like a light. I don't think she will be making it to dinner," I said taking a seat at the kitchen counter. Nico was finishing up our Valentine's Day Dinner.

"She didn't sleep all that well last night."

"Do you think we might be the ones wearing her out," I said popping a grape in my mouth. "I mean the both of us have these insatiable appetites when it comes to her."

"I know. She just draws you in. She needs rest and maybe we should forget about the dinner," he said taking the fresh baked rolls out the oven.

"I think that is a good idea. I'm just glad to be home."

"I am too. I didn't realize how relaxed I am when I'm here. It's good to have a place where you can relax and be happy. Speaking of being happy she agreed to consider having a baby."

"Our Dommi?" I said taking another grape, with a shocked look on my face.

"I brought it up today. She was against it at first, mainly she doesn't want to feel like she is alone raising it while we are away. A company wants to buy mine so if I decided to do it I would stay home while you and Dommi worked."

"You have worked hard to build that company. Too much sweat and tears went into that and I know how much you love it."

"Well I am willing to sacrifice that because I want to be a father."

"I do too. I think I have the most flexibility so I can stay. I think a baby would be a good thing for us. I can see a little girl with Dommi sassiness and beautiful green eyes running around here," I said as we both laughed.

"We can work it out and I think that is key," Nico said covering the pot.

I looked down at my watch and it was after ten pm. I was getting a little tired as I yawned.

"Man I think I'm going to bed. It's been a long two days. I will see in the morning." I tapped on the bar and headed upstairs. I eased in on my side and pulled Dommi in my arms as I nuzzled my face in the crook of her neck as sleep finally took me.

I had made dinner for our special Valentine's Day, but it seemed that it wasn't going to happen. I had fixed everyone's favorite but with the long day, everyone was tired.

I was going to set everything up by the conservatory in the gardens but since everyone was retiring for the night we could just eat it tomorrow.

I put up all the food and went upstairs so I could take my shower. When I got up to the bedroom, Vlad and Dommi were both asleep. Dommi was a bad sleeper. She was like a child where she needed to touch you. Her arm was under Vlad's neck and somehow her leg was on top of the covers. She was wearing one of Vlad's shirts as she must have gotten cold. I laughed at the scene before me and walked to the bathroom.

I walked in my large walkin closet. We had taken away one of the bedrooms and made it into closets. We each had our own and of course Dommi's was the biggest. It was good to have our own space. I undressed and got in the shower. I had a great day spending time with my girl. I quickly finished as I felt myself starting to yawn. I quickly dressed and got in the bed.

I kissed Dommi on the side of her mouth as she was totally knocked out. I smiled and struck her leg under the covers and moved her arm from around Vlad's throat. I shook my head and brought her closer to me. I whispered," I love you," and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up sandwiched between two male bodies. I knew there was a reason I felt rejuvenated. They were my caffeine that got me up and going. I looked to my right and saw Vlad sleeping with his arm around his head and his light snoring was cute.
