My eyes scanned over the dim light sky meaning dusk was now upon me while deep within the city walls.

A sense of dread fueled my veins as one question came to mind... run. It would cause unwanted noise along with burning stamina I may need if stuck with a situation where I had to use a lot that would already be drained.

My hands clenched into fists while my jaw tensed up I was about to do something that in my books is a very bad idea that gets you killed especially with night approaching and the cool air blowing.

As I ran the wind nipped my clothing but one fear broke me worse then the thought of noise, being stuck in the center of a death trap kept the blood flowing like a river rushing off a cliff these building were not safe and the risk of clearing it out was far off my choices.

My body was on high alert as I became hyper aware of my surroundings I could hear how far my boots echoed and that was a sound I learned to the wire since any slight disturbance would need addressed immediately like a red flag waving sky high blocking out the galaxy.

But my legs soon hit a brick wall stuck in place, standing there a few blocks away was a large group of Dreamers there was no light cracking between the bodies no this was a full army of them to many for me to take on and a distraction could be worse with the noise awakening monsters dreamt by children.

Quickly I decided to take the longer route sealing my fate of being stuck in the city something that signed my death wish for me but I had to keep moving a standing target was easier to hit than one moving.

My mind started counting the time as I focused on the amount of light I was losing, many bodies and debris was scattered along my path proving difficult to maneuver silently yet I did it the near impossible all while sprinting.

Soon the soft sound of a horde faded away meaning I had gotten a safe distance for now but the shadows creeped from hell further across the land meaning being ground level where corners where surrounding you was a red flag.

So I stood still looking around carefully listening to the world until my eyes caught glimpse of an easy way out so there I went slowly making sure the monsters in the dark stayed there and not on my doorstep.

Carefully I prayed as my boots started to lead me up the fire escape attached to the side of a tall building on where I could get birds eye view on my surroundings hopefully giving me sight on a shelter for the night yet sadly those soft whispers told me there wasn't any.

My heart struggled to stay steady with each passing window or door at any point this rusted metal could scream signaling the dangers inside of my presence something that would grab me like a vine dragging my body to the depths of hell.

As I took that first step onto the roof top I knew luck was running slim I had made it safely that was far more than most but now I needed shelter so I started walking around the ledge looking through the town of anything suitable.

Sadly nothing came as I started to pace back and forth thinking of a plan this building was still to close with the horde for my likings so the next thought that came wasn't a good one, I bounced on the balls of my feet preparing myself mentally for the risk I was about to dive head first in literally.

Finally I took of running towards the ledge before letting my body sore with the wind as I landed loudly on the rooftop next to my past one carefully I froze in place listening for those monsters to awaken but none came.

Checking the sky I had few hours left if any so I had to stretch my luck while bouncing from rooftop to the next listening carefully after each landing I knew the sound was bound to attract unwanted attention but finding shelter was forcing my feet to move.
