The Date

               A couple days later on Friday night, I was getting ready for my date with josh. We were going to play pool. I am a pool shark, a pool shark is a person who plays a really good game of pool.  He told me that he didn't know how to play.  so I told him I was going to teach him.

              I quickly changed my outfit into a white dress with a brown belt that was leather  . I thought that maybe the blue earrings that dangled down ,and the blue bracelet that fit my wrist perfect. I got them for my 15th birthday, would compliment my dress. I also put on a blue jean jacket that I got from Maya last year, also my favorite brown cowgirl boots that they were regularly $125 but I had a 12% discount which made them $110! I curled my hair lightly, so it would match my outfit better.

            When I finally got ready it was 8 pm. I heard Josh's truck in my driveway. He had a 49 Chevy, that was jet black.(as shown in the picture above) I got into the truck and we headed off to the pool place.

    When we got to the pool place I showed him how to play. I told him that there are different variations, strategies, and terminology to learn in addition to just getting the ball into the pocket.

"First, you have to be familiar with the equipment." - Amelia

I showed him the cue, pool stick, table, and pool balls.

"Now u need to be familiar with the language"

            I told him that the "break" happens at the beginning of the game when a player breaks up the fifteen pool balls. It is the first shot. I told him a scratch occurs when the cue ball jumps off the table or rolls into a pocket. 

I broke, I got the red 3 in the pocket. I told him he was stripes and I was solids since the red 3 that was a solid.

"Now line the pool tip up with the cue ball, aim, and hit away! Sounds easy, huh?"-A

"Ya"-J

"As a beginner, always focus and keep your eye on the ball. Tune out distractions as best you can. Focus on hitting the cue ball straight and with power."-A

            He shot in the 9 yellow striped ball. We kept going until Josh won the game.. Then the next game after that i won. By then it was 8:45 pm. We decided to go to the park which wasn't that far from the pool place. We ran around the park for 5 minutes. Then we swinged on the swing set for 10 minutes. 

             Then he drove me home and I gave him a kiss goodnight. When i opened the door I was in shock!
