Belle:

The elevator doors opened to the Training Center. All the tributes were separated, training with different things. It was a bit unnerving. I was glad to stay away from the weapons and magic stations. I decided to look at all the other tributes.

Emma was attacking a dummy with a blast of light. My mouth was open, gawking. Some people were born with magic. Some were not. Some people could also turn into other things as well. Mermaids, faries, you name it. The careers though, have been practicing their talents for years.

As soon as we walked in, Ariel ran and jumped into a pool of water. Her legs morphed into a fin. Her gift was that she was a mermaid! She swam like an expert, and the water bent to her will. She hopped out of the water in a minute and grabbed a trident. Eric did the same. They attacked dummies together.

I looked over to the other side. Killian, who had a hook for a hand, was stabbing dummies along the way. He joined Emma and they attacked together. I looked over my shoulder, and Rumple began to limp over to the spear section. I decided to start at the fire making station. The girl I knew as Anna from District 8 was there as well. She was trying to start a fire unsuccessfully.

Coming from the district of Lumber, I knew how to make a good fire. She was rubbing her hands together at a medium speed and in the same spot.

"Rub your hands faster and bring them down a little bit." I said as I walked up. She glanced at me, then began to follow my instructions. It worked.

"Well, in District Eight, we don't really make fires. I'm Anna." She said. She smiled and held out her hand. I took it.

"Belle, from District Seven." I replied.

"Oh yeah! I remember you. Your district partner is the one with the crippled leg right?" she asked. I nodded.

We walked to the camouflage station together and practiced on each other's arms. Another girl walked over. She had tiny feet and her blonde hair was in a bun at the top of her head. She looked farmiliar to what a fairy would look like. I had read all about them in a book about all the creatures of Panem.

"Hi. I'm Tinker Bell, but my friends call me Tink." the girl said. People here weren't at all afraid to introduce themselves around here.

"I'm from District nine." she said

"Seven." I said.

"I'm from eight." Anna said, "Oh look, seven, eight, nine! It's like we were meant to be friends!" She didn't seem to understand the concept of "one goes home", but it was nice to have friends, so I didn't say anything. We walked to the fire making station together.

The girl from District 1, Zelena, held out her hands toward a small pile of wood. A fire started immediately. I gasped. She had magic too! It seemed that the careers were better than us in every way possible. Then I had an idea.
