Amara scrolled trough her laptop, looking for ideas on how to get boys to like you. Cheesy, huh? Well, if you think that's cheesy, Amara drew hundreds and hundreds of pictures all drawn with Shawn on it, because she couldn't stop thinking about him. Who knew somebody can draw a person so perfect and detailed if they only met them for only 20 minutes. Jake came into Amara's room holding a squirt gun. And Jessica followed right behind him with her belt tied around her hands life hand cuffs.
"PUT YOUR HANDS UP....lady? JUST PUT EM UP!" He yelled. I sighed.
"OH MY GOD!!! HELP ME, THIS GUY IS CRAZY! HE'S ARRESTING ME FOR ONLY STEALING A HUNDRED DOLLARS FROM THE BANK." Jessica said, trying to stifle laughter. But in the end, she started bawling her eyes out from laughing , and Jake joined her. Amara just rolled my eyes. She slowly push them outside her door, and locks it. But then, she gets a message from, guess who........wait for it, wait for it....................SHAWN! It reads:
"Hey, Amara!
So, how about the timing for the job. Today, at 3:00. I hope to see you. Thanks!
     Shawn"
OMG! He messaged me. But only about the job, seriously, how about asking me to a date. And he also said I HOPE to see you there! Like seriously, he wants me there, I think. But who wouldn't say that, I mean.......HE DOES WANT ME THERE!
A/N: you might be thinking this is in Amara's pint of view, but she's actually thinking that in her head, and yeah I could've just said that, but I wanted to do an authors note in this. Soooo, back to the story.

But 3:00 was in 30 minutes, how was she going to get ready? After choosing for about ten minutes Amara finally decided in wearing a blue knee high dress with a half sleeve, and a bow in the back. She curled her hair in loose curls and applied mascara and eyeliner to her eyes, and lipgloss to her lips. For her cheeks, a light pink blush. Now she was ready. Amara sat down in her study chair and started thinking about what she was going to say to Shawn. Something like,
Hey whatcha doing, my man! Naaah too....tomboyish?
Heeeey, Shaaaaawnie! Nope to flirty and it also sounds weird when you say it out loud.
Hey, Shawn, what's up? That's more like it. Now to get the words out of her mouth. Amara practiced on how she was going to say it, just casual. Hey, first impressions right? Soon it was 3:55.
"OH NO! I'm going to be late, this is not going to be a good first impression. What if he thinks I'm way too slow in kissing him. UGHHH GOTTA STOP THINKING THOSE KIND OF STUFF!" Amara says as she runs through he door. And as soon as she sees Jake, she instantly wishes that she can take back what she said.
"So, who's your boyfriend?" He asks.
" No one, now I'm going to be late!" Amara says as she pushes past by her brother. She runs to her car and speedily drives to the building. Who cares if she was going to get a ticket. This time, not Amara all she needed to do was impress Shawn. Amara parked her car a little sideways on the parking lot, and she hurried inside. She got there just in time, well only 1.44 seconds late. Shawn saw Amara and smiled. He waved to her, and she walked all the way to him.
"Hey, you look like you were in a hurry." Shawn said. Amara's cheeks turned red.
"Oh, um, yeah. Don't wanna be late to the first day of my new job, right?" Amara said embarrassed.
"Yeah!" Was all Shawn said. "So, um lets go to your room." Amara followed Shawn to her room. They both sat on the opposite sides to speak.
"I didn't tell you this, but I'm the boss of this company and a school." Shawn said unexpectedly. I just looked at him confused.
"School?" Yeah, sooooooo casual, Amara, oh and Amara you forgot to say your lines, what a wimp.
"Yeah. This company decides if you get to be a music teacher. I'm also a principal. So half, half time. I only meet the new singers who have an appointment with me. The others will look out for who needs improvement and who's the new teacher. There's going to be needed a substitute. This is the last year, then I give my work to some other dude, then I'm going to be a full time principal." Shawn explained.
"Oh." Was all Amara managed to say. So, Shawn wrote down everything about Amara in his clipboard thingy, then he asked some more questions that didn't need to be written down. After a few minutes, he said,"Ok, let's hear you sing."
I chose my favorite song, Save the day, by Selena Gomez:
"Kiss the moon goodbye but don't close your eyes, your eyes.
It's the end of the night, but the beginning of time, for you and I
I still believe that my body's still moving
It makes me feel like we're doing something right
(Baby when the night starts slipping when the night starts slipping when the night starts slipping away
Boy, you got my heartbeat skipping
When you touch me even though the time is ticking away
Just tell me it's not over, and we'll never reach the end
Oh when the night starts slipping away
Save the day
Dee dee dee dee dee dee day
Dee dee dee dee dee dee day
Dee Dee dee dee dee dee day
Save the day)
Yeah we're still wide awake, got me losing my mind, my mind
No it's never too late
Put your lips on mine
In the burning sunlight I
I can't believe that my body's still moving
It makes me feel like we're doing something right
Sing what it says in the parenthesis

Oh eh, oh eh, oh eh, oh, ah ah ah ah
Oh eh, oh eh, oh eh, oh, ah ah ah ah
Oh eh, oh eh, oh eh, oh, ah ah ah ah

Kiss the moon goodbye but don't close your eyes, your eyes
It's the end of the night, but the beginning of time for you and I
I still can't believe that my body's still moving
It makes me feel like we're doing something right

Do the parenthesis part again."

After Amara was done, Shawn started clapping.
"Amara that was good, I know you are definitely one of the people who are going to be a music teacher.
With that, Amara was smiling.
