Louis is sitting watching television with his family. He just wants his phone back so he can text his friends and Harry.
He called Harry at lunch today and failed to get Harry to skip for him. He just wanted some company. It's really boring here by himself.
He sighs out of boredom and watches as his sister, Daisy, colors at the table.
"That's pretty," Louis smiles and she looks up and grins, one of her front teeth missing.
"Thanks, Lou!" She beams and Louis slides off the couch so he can sit next to her.
"Can I color with you?" he asks and she just passes him a crayon. He absentmindedly colors in the picture. He thinks about Harry.
Did he have a good day at school? Did Liam and Niall sit with him and Zayn again? Did he miss Louis?
A knock at the door stirs Louis out of his thoughts.
"I got it," he tells his family as he stands to his feet. They all just continue to stare at the screen and Louis rolls his eyes.
He walks over to the door and opens it to reveal a very angry looking Anne.
"You're dating my son?!" she screeches and Louis is in shock. He doesn't know what to say and he can't move.
"Answer me, Louis Tomlinson," she seethes and he blinks and swallows the lump in his throat.
"I-um-I... Maybe?" he stutters and if looks could kill he'd be dead.
"Mom! What are you doing?" he hears Harry yell. Harry runs across their lawns and both Anne and Louis' attention is on him.
"I told you to stay away from him, Harry. He's not good for you," Anne tells her son, voice cold. Harry looks at her with wide eyes. He never told his mom about him and Louis.
"Who told you?" he whispers and Anne rolls her eyes.
"Nicks mom! She called to talk about how sad Nick is about the fight. Nick's such a good boy Harry," she tells him and her voice is so sweet when she talks about Nick. Louis doesn't like it and he can feel his anger building.
"Nick is an asshole and why are you at my house?" he questions, thankful his confidence has come back. Anne whips around to face him and her stare is cold yet again.
"I came here to tell you to stay away from my son. He's too good for you. You're nothing but a troublemaker and I will not have you corrupting my son," she spits out at him.
"How dare you come to my house and say that about my son," Jay cuts in. They all turn and see her standing behind Louis. His whole family is probably listening.
"How dare your son go near mine! I made my rules clear. I do not like your son," Anne says. Louis looks down at his feet.
"Mom, he's not bad," Harry tries to tell her, but she hushes him.
"Harry, he is nothing but a player and a drunk. I've seen him come home weekend after weekend drunk. He probably sleeps with girls all the time and I will not have you be another person on his list," Anne informs him and Louis' head snaps up.
"Your son is the only person on my list!" Louis yells and he regrets it as soon as he says it. Anne's eyes go wide and Harry looks at him with a shocked expression.
Anne then slaps Louis across the face.
"How dare you corrupt my son! How dare you go against my orders! I told you to stay away, Louis! You're nothing but trouble. My son is a good kid and anytime something bad happens with him you're always involved. You do not deserve him," she screams.
"What the fuck?! He made a mistake, but he's changed. I love him, mom," Harry yells back and Louis hates watching as the tears fall down his cheeks. He moves forward without thinking and wraps his arms around Harry, just wanting to comfort him.
He feels Harry hug him back, but then he's gone. Anne has pulled him away and Louis feels so cold and empty.
"You don't love him and he doesn't love you. You're children. Tell him you're done with him, Harry. I will not allow you to be with him."
Louis looks at Harry, his expression pleading with him not to say it.
"Harry Edward Styles, you will not speak to his boy! Tell him you're done!" Anne says, voice more forceful. Louis can feel the tears build in his eyes.
"Harry. If you say this I will not forgive you." Louis tells him and his voice cracks.
Harrys tears continue to fall and he looks between Anne and Louis with a torn expression.
"I am your mother you do as I say," Anne continues.
"Anne, this is enough. Can't you see you're hurting them?" Jay speaks up again, but Anne ignores her.
"Harry." Anne commands and with just his name he cracks.
"Louis. I'm so sorry, but we," he breaks and his whole body is shaking. He can't look at Louis while he says it because Louis is crying and Harry can't make him stop.
"We're done," Harry chokes out and his hearts shatters as Louis' tears start to fall faster.
"No. Why?" Louis sobs out and Harry has to look away. He can't watch and his own tears are falling fast.
"Good. We're leaving now. Goodnight," Anne dismisses and she grabs her sons arm and drags him back to the house. The barely make it through the door before he yanks his arm away.
"I hate you! I hate you! Why would you do that?! Why did I do that?" Harry sobs and then he falls to the ground, sobbing into his arms. He shouldn't have said that. He should've told his mom no. He should've stayed with Louis.
"Harry, baby, don't cry. There will be another boy that will make you feel better than he ever could. He's not good for you, honey," Anne tries to soothe him, but it doesn't work.
"I love him. I love him so much. I messed everything up so you wouldn't be mad at me. I just want him," Harry sobs and Anne just hugs him. It doesn't help. Harry knows only Louis could make him stop crying and Louis isn't here.
Louis is at home sobbing into his mothers chest on the floor. He can barely breathe through the sobs.
"He left me so easily, mom," Louis cries and she just pulls him closer. She rubs his back and lets him get it all out.
Jay can't believe Anne did that. She knows Anne doesn't like Louis, but she never thought she'd stoop that low.
Jay also knows that Louis and Harry have obviously been talking even though Anne had forbidden them. They've obviously been talking a lot.
She remembers when they were younger and Louis always looked at Harry like he put the moon in the sky. Harry gave Louis the same look and she knew they loved each other.
Her and Anne used to joke about how the two boys we're destined to get married and how they were so perfect for each other. Jay still thinks that.
"Mom, I love him," Louis says and Jay swallows her own tears and nods her head.
"I know, baby."
"I'll never love anyone more than him. He left me so quickly. Why did he leave?" Louis cries. Jay wishes she knew the answer. She doesn't say anything and she just wants her son to smile because seeing him like this breaks her heart.
"I just want him," Louis mumbles. Louis knows only Harry can make him better, but Harry isn't here. Harry left.
