The Marriage

It was a beautiful, warm Summer day. My wedding with Orisa was tomorrow. She was the most amazing, extraordinary, gorgeous omnic I have ever met. I was the happiest a robot could be sitting in the orchard, watching the birds fly off into the sunset.

"Bastion?" she called in her sweet voice, "dinner is ready!"

"Okay, honey, I'll be right in!" I replied, turning to the sun as it fades behind the clouds.

I head inside. Orisa had prepared pasta with some oil sauce, my favorite.

"So sweetie, how was your day?" she sweetly asked me, as she did every night.

"Good, yours?" I ask.

"Lovely." she responds

Something seemed off, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I decided to ignore my feelings, and proceeded to eat dinner with my fiancé, silently. When we had finished our supper, it was 10:00 pm, and we decided to head to bed. Let's just say what happened after that wasn't safe for work...

Next morning, I woke up at 9:30. The wedding was at 2 o'clock that afternoon. Orisa went to the saloon to get dolled-up. I was on the phone with my best friend, Zenyatta.

"Congrats man, she's a real keeper, I'm honored to be your guys' best man!" Zen said to me.

"Thanks dude, I appreciate it." I return.

I was getting  that weird, "off", feeling I was getting with Orisa last night, but this time I decided to mention it.

"Hey Zen," I said hesitantly, "Has Orisa seemed weird to you lately?"

"Um-no-uhh-why?" he said, sounding rather nervous, but like the idiot I am I brushed it off.

"Oh nothing," I lied, "Just me being dumb I guess."

We talked about other stuff until I had to start getting ready. I slipped into my slick black tux and hopped in the car. Orisa said her friend would drop her of at the church. She arrived at exactly 2:00. She put on her lovely dress then slowly walked down the isle along with the piano music. When she made it up to the podium, I undid her vail to see her stunning face blushing. We said our speeches:

"I, Bastion, will love, care, and respect you, Orisa, until the end of time. You are a beautiful, beautiful girl, and I am so lucky to have met you. I don't know where I would be right now if I didn't have you- my caretaker, my lover, my honey, my sweetie, my everything. I love you with all my heart."

I here a couple of "aww's" in the crowd. The was Orisa's vows:

"I, Orisa, will listen, understand, forgive, and love you, Bastion, now, and forever. You are handsome, and the sweetest man I've ever had the pleasure to speak to. I want you with me, forever and always. I love you."

Then came in the usher with the generic, "You may now kiss the bride." And boy, I did, I did indeed.
