"What do you mean, 'it's Derek?"
"I mean, he's in the hospital and we need to go see what's wrong, immediately."
I can't believe it, I hope he's okay.  I mean I have known him for that long but I'd be coming lately devastated if something was wrong with him.  Now that I've met him I can't imagine how I'd live without him, he's like my brother now.(FRIENDZONED)
We arrived at the hospital and as soon as the car was parked Nate and I ran in.  We got to the lady at the desk and told her who we were here to see, she said to go to the waiting room and she'll get us when she can.
In the waiting room there was everyone.  I ran up to Jack and started bawling.  He just held me until I finally settled down and I asked him what happened.
"Well, Derek and Dillon were on their way to the studio when a big tractor trailer came out of nowhere and rammed into the passenger side, Derek's side, Dillon isn't doing great but they think he might live, as for Derek, they're not sure.
Wow.  I hope he's okay I don't want him to die.  There's so much I didn't know about him and he has a great life ahead of him.  He's only 24(????) he has more music to make, a girl to marry, children to have, money to make, the world to travel.  He can't be gone.
We sat there waiting for two excruciating hours waiting to here what's going on with the two boys.
Finally a doctor came out and called for Derek's sister.
"We're sorry but we couldn't save Derek.  You can all go and see him one last time."
I can't believe it, he's gone.  There's so much we didn't do and so much I didn't know about him.
