Family reunion

-*-Ethan's POV-*-

Going across country without using a car or any kind of transportation was absolutely draining. Ben did let me hop on his back for a ride a few times, but I was usually off as soon as he made a perverted comment about it, which was a few minutes later.

I felt a little guilty making Hana and Ben stop every once and a while to take a break, I didn't have a lot of stamina, that and with the energy I'm using to hide my ears and tail, I had to take breaks sometimes. I know, it would be easier just to let them out, but I didn't feel comfortable with it

Not when outside in the open, I've done it numerous times around Hana, back when I couldn't control it. And those months with Ben and being able to have them out constantly, it was amazing. But, it just didn't feel right at the moment.

Resting was not the only reason we stopped, I hadn't been outside in a while, that and we were in the woods, in France! The place I grew up, and honestly it was breath taking, I loved it. So every once and a while I was able to stray just far enough off the path to be able to see certain things.

But not far enough my Asshole boyfriend Ben could yell at me for it. Honestly he was like an alarm, I get ten feet away and I'm being carried over his shoulder like a damn toddler! Honestly I dont see what the big deal is.

A few days of hiking through the hot sun, I got a few scratches and of course I tripped a few times, receiving bruises, but I didn't give a single flying fuck. I as out in the open!

At the moment I was strayed a bit from the path, looking at the different trees flowers bushes and rocks. It doesn't sound too exciting to most people but when your locked up for months on end you would understand.

And in case you were wondering yes I am still holding that grudge against Skilly- er, ben, honestly it was about a day after the cave incident did I realize that I had been calling him ben without even realizing. I mean it suited him, and it was nice. Though I still called him Skilly to get on his nerves.

"Ethan, come back." Ben called. I looked over and rolled my eyes

"I'm hardly five feet away!" I argued, crossing my arms.

Ben shot me a small warning glare, he seemed to be a bit more stressed and protective than usual. I sighed and walked over, once standing next to him he pulled me behind him, him and Hana had stopped in the middle of the path, looking at each other wearily. It was obvious they were talking without words, which I'm not sure how that worked.

Ben nodded and looked at me.

"Ethan, I need you to stay close to me, we are just at my packs border, and if you wonder off they will do bad things if they find you without us. Okay?" He stared at me with eyes filled with concern and seriousness. I thought over what he said and without a second thought I nodded my head. Ben nodded and kissed my forehead. "Good."

Ben had taken my hand tightly in his as we stepped into their pack borders, I looked around, sniffing the air a bit it was different than before, before it was a bunch of different smells mixed together, but this was one similar smell. I glanced at Ben, his brows were furrowed as he walked, a serious look on his face as he walked with his head held high,I could practically feel the power coming off him,I couldn't help but stare, he seemed so different, more, mature.
