Psionic and energy base shields

You might think both types of shields are the same when in truth they can be very different. And we are talking about force shields, like the kind you see in sci-fi stuff. Kinda like the Protoss shields. These shields are quite different things as you are about to learn.

Psionic base shield: A shield mainly made of a person(or people) psionic energy with some to very rarely, no energy in it. But the one you'll meet most in this universe is half psionic and half energy shields since most beings are rather weak psionically causing the need of energy being in the shield and most likely on a person if they use cloaking technology that is mainly psionic which is also harder to detect due to how different people have different psionic readings and the like. In truth, psionic base shielding is almost always the better shield. Unless we are talking about energy base weapons and other energy base things where an energy base shield would be much more useful since it would absorb more of the damage due to both being energy base. But that's about it when it comes to psionic shielding when it comes to the two and their pros and cons.  

Another thing about psionic base shields is they are very hard to put on things like ships, mainly destroyer and above without enough psionic able crew. Making them a rare thing to see on a ship like the Vessel of Hope from the story of the Vanites. Since the race that owns the ship has little to almost nobody that is psionic forcing them to use energy base shielding.

Energy base shield: As we already have said before hand. This kind of shielding is one of the weaker ones in the universe due to its weakness to things like projectile base weapons, missiles, and so on. However, they absorb more energy base weaponry than other shields when you don't count some very rare kinds of shielding. Plus this shielding is much easier, cheaper, and faster to deploy in most cases than something like psionic base shields. Unless the psionic base shield has a very strong psionic person powering it or something along those lines.

I know this is quite short but I trust you already know what shields are and what shields we aren't talking about as well. Also, there are some other types of shielding out there but they are not only rare but go into their own kind of shielding. Like a bio base shield is its own kind of shield that works similar to energy and psionic shields but yet work quite differently, and have different needs.
