Taehyung was off on tour with the rest of BTS for a few more weeks. He promised to call me whenever he could, but I haven't heard much from he lately because of how busy he has been.
It was really lonely at home without him, but I could never tell him that. He would feel bad for leaving me alone and want to come home. I didn't want to distract him from his performances.
He got back to their hotel late after they had been out to eat after a concert. As soon as he got to his room he sat down and called me on FaceTime. I answered almost immediately. "Jagiya~"
I was so happy to hear his voice again. "Hi!" I waved at him and he smiled. "Did you just get back?"
"Yes. I'm sorry I couldn't call sooner... I really miss you." He laid down on his bed and covered half his face with the comforter on the bed. He looked so tired.
"I miss you too. Are you going to bed soon?" As much as I wanted to talk to him, his health was more of a concern to me. He needed his sleep if he was going to do his best every day and at every performance and I didn't want to get in the way of that.
"Not yet. I have some things to do before to do before I go to sleep."
"Like what?" He couldn't still be working this late could he?
He smiled at me. "Like eating snacks... I'll probably go hang out with Jungkook for a little bit... but first I need to tell the most beautiful girl I've ever seen how much I love her." Even through the phone I could see how his eyes were full of love for me.
I hummed and tried to hold in my smile. "What's her name? Maybe I know her."
He giggled and flashed that boxy smile of his. "Will you do me a favor?" I nodded. "Go in the bedroom and look under my side of the mattress." I looked at him funny, but did as he said. I found a envelope sealed up with my name written across it. "Did you find it?"
I sat on the bed and held it in one hand while I looked at the screen of my phone. He was smiling so brightly. "Tae... what is this?"
"Open it." I propped the phone up on a pillow so he could see me open whatever was in here. I carefully ripped open the envelope and pulled out a card. Some pictures fell out of it as well.
I picked them up and looked through them. It was pictures Taehyung and I had taken when we he took Jin's Polaroid camera one day.
The first was of me. I was hiding under the giant pile of plushies he had kept from his fans. All you could see was my eyes and nose, but you could tell I was smiling. It was a really fun memory.
The second picture was of Taehyung. He was snuggling against my stomach with his arms wrapped around my waist. I remember he fell asleep soon after I took the picture and it made me smile thinking about how we took naps together whenever he got tired at home.
I looked up at him and felt tears welling up in my eyes. I didn't know why, but it made me emotional that he thought to make a gesture like this to make me happy while he was away.
"Jagiya... don't cry yet. That's not ever the best part!" He looked so happy. I took a deep breath and looked at the other pictures. There were a few of us kissing, making silly faces, and just having a good time together. "Read the letter." I took a moment to calm myself down. He gave me a warm smile and waited patiently.
I unfolded the letter and began reading.
My dearest (Y/N),
I wish I could be there to hold you right now. There's never a moment where I'm not thinking about you.I wanted to surprise you when I knew you were feeling lonely without me. Ugh... I miss you more than you can even imagine. It's hard to say it over the phone without breaking down, so I decided to write it for you.

FanfictionI'm pretty sure this surpasses all other one shot collections I've written so far. I'm really proud of this and spent a lot of time writing so many of these when I should've been studying, sleeping, and many other things. Enjoy!
