Okay, so how this goes is the person you play as has lost their memory for unknown reasons, and later on, they move. They meet up with a Very Suspicious House across from theirs, and their curiosity was through the roof at this point.
Their past was unclear to them, but after they got a glimpse of their Neighbor, bit by bit, their memory came back. They were related to the Man, almost like a Son or something. The Neighbor had erased their memory at a certain time, treating them as a slave to finish up his house.
And, after he was done with them, he let them loose, erasing their memory one last time, and sending them across the state/town. After the Man had realized it was them, he was consumed by guilt, him crying loudly in a corner. (Which is one of the endings)
That is, along with this theory, there will be another part uploaded to this one.
