(includes a little bit of 'gay' material, sorry guys,)(and a little trigger warning of the mention of Self-Harm, drinking,)
This is a Bendy and the Ink Machine theory on Joey and Henry's past together. It takes place when the two are in their teenaged years, and, judging by how it possibly(???) takes place in the late, LATE 90s.
Anyways, their Hormones are just everywhere, and as usual, it's hard to contain them. (At any age, really, just depends when puberty hits ya right in the face).
Joey, the nervous, jittery friend out of the trio, decides he's waited long enough to try something. Now they're both hanging out past 12 AM, during the beginning of summer, in front of a place like 7-11, and stole some Beer and Liquor off of Joey's dad.
As Henry was going on about the consequences on how they stole Alcohol, (since they're both drunk off their asses,) under the legal age, how badly and deep in trouble they would get in, Joey pulled him near his face and kissed him.
Henry, the scared one during this, pulled away after a little bit, even though something told him not to, and got up and left. That left Joey confused, Was their Friendship over? Would they never speak again? They were just starting their career together, it couldn't end like this, not now.
A few of their 'classmates' was nearby, watching in a car as they had a plan. After that night, Henry didn't speak to Joey for the longest time, ignoring him once school started back up, even though he seen him daily. Joey couldn't handle it all, since his Father had found out by the 'classmates', treating him even more badly every time he got home.
He ended up going down a long, horrible path, one full of regret, heartache, pain, sorrow, depression, and other things that he couldn't quite point out. His Father actually 'supported' what he was doing, hiding in the bathroom almost every night, crying and the sound of metal crashing to the floor, and his Father on the other side of the door, yelling at him, telling him to 'go deeper' and other shit so he wouldn't have to care for him any longer.
Henry had no idea. He missed his dear friend, but after that night, his perspective and whole thought of Joey had changed. His parents didn't want to pry it from him, so after a few years, when they least expected it, he just blurted it out during dinner. It had ate at him ever since. It literally killed him to even think about it.
After him and Joey got over it, they continued with their lives, Henry worked for a few weeks at the Animation Studio with Joey, the subject being brought up once.
It left them both in tears, Joey sobbing loudly on the floor, on his knees, begging for forgiveness from Henry. Like before, Henry left.
A few months later, Henry got a letter in the mail from Joey. He was rather excited, barely, but mostly hesitant.
He thought of so many things Joey had wanted to show him, a few of them making him blush tremendously. ( ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )
Knowing how desperate Joey was the last time they spoke, it could've been anything.
After a few days of waiting, and deciding, he finally managed to drive there without thinking against it.
When he walked past the door, looking for Joey in anticipation, he couldn't find him.
That is, until he found the room which held the 'mangled' Boris, and there Joey was, Ink covering his chest, stomach, arms, and his hands. (Over his shirt)(the Ink over his shirt)
His head in his hands, sobbing, his arms stinging horribly, and his knees up to his chest.
His hair was ruffled so badly, it looked like he was homeless or something.
Henry approached him, crouching down as Joey tried to calm down.
His sobbing calmed down, his tears still rolling.
Henry placed one of his hands firmly around Joey's left arm, trying to see his face.
Joey had Ink covering his face almost completely, like he was a child who got ahold of Eyeliner or Mascara. (So necessary on March the 22nd ;-;)(and tissues) (am I the only one who ships Joey and Henry? Just me? Okay.) (but seriously, (not smutty jesus christ) I do, and I didn't even mean to) •^•
"Hey," Henry said calmly, soothingly almost.
"It's okay." Henry sat down next to him, hugging him tightly as Joey hesitantly hugged him back.
"Don't worry, I forgive you, I promise."
And since then, they made up, continued animating, tried to fix everything from before, and soon became closer then they both ever thought of.A/N
hAPPY ENDING SONS-
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this!
If not, that's okay to.
I was listening to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol while writing this,
I guess that's what made it seem like it has.
