Chapter 1!!! Hope you like it!! It's very long!!!

“Have a nice night, John!” I waved my boss goodbye.

“You too Jezzie!!” he smiled at me, and took his attention back to the recording’s. I walked out of the record building, and loudly sighed; glad to be done with work, and away from my boss.

Believe me, I love my boss. Really I do! But do you know like when you spend too much time with a person, and you start to get sick of them after a while. Yeah. That’s how I feel. Once I sigh I start walking to my apartment. When I see the familiar alley I go through for a short-cut I turn in there. Once I’m almost at the end of the alley I get pushed up against the red brick wall. I groan, and look at the person who pushed me. Standing there were three men. I could barely see them, but I can see their shadows and their outlines. I’m pretty sure the one closest to me was bald.

“Here. Take anything. Everything. I have a phone in here. Some electronics, and money. Take it, but please don’t kill me.” I tried to make it look like I wasn’t terrified one bit. Oh boy. But I definitely was scared as hell!! I didn’t want to die! At least not today.

“Haven’t your parents ever taught you not to walk through alleys?” the bald man in front of me spoke up. I can hear the venom in his voice; making me flinch.

“I’ve been walking through these alleys for years. No one has ever been here.” I cowered more against the wall once the bald man growled.

“Did I tell you to speak?!?” yelling; he grabbed my arm, and I winced. His grasp was very tight.

“Well, you asked me a question, so I answered it.” I flinched ‘cause I thought he would hit me. His grasp got tighter on my arm, and I tried to pull it away. It was no use. He was ten times stronger than me. The two men behind him chuckled.

“She just doesn’t shut up, does she?” said one of the two men behind the bald man, and they all chuckled.

“She’ll shut up once we’re done with her.” the bald man who had a tight grasp on my arm started to pull me with him and the two men.

I whimpered and snapped my eyes shut. After hearing a “squeak!” from a door opening the grasp of the bald man disappeared. With my eyes still being closed, I heard grunts and groans in front of me. I slowly opened my eyes to see a man - or boy fighting off the three men that almost attacked me. I gasped once I saw the curls of the man/boy. It’s the vigilante, Flea Shadow. At least I think that’s what they call him. He punched one of the men in the stomach, and they fell to the ground. Another man was running to him from behind, but Shadow quickly turned around and-. What on earth? His hands just glowed, and he burned the man running to him to a crisp. I gasped, and backed away. His hands glowed, once again and he burned the bald man to a crisp. I shrieked, and stared at the man- or boy in horror. He turned his attention to me, and my eyes got glossy.

“Come here.” said Shadow; putting his arm out for me. I shook my head, and whimpered. He frowned, and put his arm down. “Please-” he groaned and rapidly shook his head and looked down. What is wrong with him?!

“What are you? Why are you helping me?” I backed away more, and he followed.

“Just- please! Ah!- please. I’ll keep you safe- ah!! I promise-” he groaned again, and kept shaking his head rapidly. I furrowed my brows, and watched him intently.

“How do I know I can trust you? You’re the vigilante!! You’re Shadow!” I shouted, and he yelped like he was in pain. He kept shaking his head rapidly. I was starting to get freaked out.

“I just saved your- ahh!!” he groaned, and shook his head. “Just please- fuck!!! Just- t-trust me.” he finally looked up at me.

I frowned, and started taking slow steps towards him. He grabbed my hand, and I yelped; jumping at least 10 feet away from him. His hand was burning. Like it was on fire. I bring my hand up to my mouth, and suck on it until the burning sting goes away.
